Miss Jilly is going to the vet this evening to see about her congestion.

Fun fact: I already had appointments for 3 of my other cats for general check-ups this evening and they added Jill in to make 4. That's 50% of our cats!

The verdict is that Jill has a URI, maybe even a sinus thing going on, and she was all snotty by the time the vet saw her. We got Clavamox, and I made them check the ingredients to make sure it wasn't sweetened with something that affect her BGs. They "love" me at the vet because I ask all sorts of weird questions that they don't have answers to, but we all learn something new :)

Also, the vet doesn't like BGs below 75. What can you do?

You can tell him that there are many cats on this board who, once they go OTJ, regularly have BGs in the 50-80 range on a human meter, some even go into the 40s. Is he talking 75 on a human meter or an Alphatrak?
Human meter I think. She’s a good vet and she trusts me. Just doesn’t have a lot of experience treating diabetes. Asked me if I skip shots and I said we shoot low to stay low!!

I see I missed a pj party. She really turned around her numbers this week.
My vet says the same thing, 75 and I just nod my head. Glad you got some answers at the vet and hopefully the sinus issue will go away soon.
