Look at this AMPS! I have to hide my calendar. I have an appointment this morning right around her nadir so she got mc for breakfast and might be looking at a hc snack. She had hc late last night and she still dropped at AMPS.

So....I am leaving at +2.
But I can test at +1.5 and I will test again as soon as I get home. That should be by +4.

+1.5 and she's dropped to 50. She's eating hc now. I can test again in 30 mins and feed again before I leave, but if she dropped again, should I not leave? I don't think she's ever done this before.

Karo syrup or honey will only give her a quick boost, right, not long-lasting which is preferred?

More hc. She takes a little to have the carbs register. And i have to leave in 5 mins. I think she will be ok…

That's great! Since Jill has been having some active cycles, I'd encourage you to get more +9 or +10 tests so when PMPS rolls around you won't be as worried about which direction she is heading.

She eats at +9, so I could test then, but does it make sense to test at +10 if she just ate? She gets a small zero carb snack then because the other 7 cats eat dinner at that time and all hell will break loose if she doesn't also get to eat

It doesn't matter if she eats unless you are feeding her high carb food then. A low carb snack at +9 should have little influence on the +10 number, or test her before her +9 snack. Any numbers you have late in the cycle tells a lot of information that you could use to your advantage.

Did a +9 and she was still low for her at 80. Instead of no-carb dinner I gave her mc because all these low numbers in a row are new to me and I don't know what she's going to do! I probably shouldn't have given her mc...what do you think? I guess we will know in a couple of hours for PMPS.

PMPS is 63. Lower than +9. I gave her mc food. And reduced dose. Are we ok or should I be doing something differently?

You are ok. Get a +1 and +2. The 4.25 can effect the next 4 or more cycles if not much of a food bum give mc at +1.

What if she drops more at +1 ? Can I give hc?

You can but mc should work. The pmps was within meter variance. I’d give some hc if she hits the 50’s and it’s early in the cycle. She might bounce too.
