I am a new member and not sure how to go about introducing my cat, Cassie. Is this the appropriate place to describe her and her condition or should I do that somewhere else. There's so much information on this site, it's a lot to manage at the beginning!
Many thanks. Sandra G.

Hi Sandra glad you are home testing, how many units of glargine is Cassie getting, when was she diagnosed with diabetes.
What low carb is she eating
Can you add this to your signature. Go up top to your name and tap in it, a drop down will appear, tap on signature and add the info, then hit save

We have a spreadsheet that we use to track our cats BG to see how the insulin is working for them in case you need help with dosing. There is also 2 dosing methods when using glargine which will tell you when you need to increase or decrease the dose
Would you like to set it up, if you have any trouble with setting it up just ask, we have a member that will be glad to do it for you
This link will also explain how the spreadsheet works

You can take a look at Tyler's SS even though he's in remission, just go to my 2020 up top and tap on it

Here are the 2 dosing methods, see which one you would like to follow

We are very numbers driven. The spreadsheet is a record of your cat's progress. By linking it in your signature, we can follow along and provide feedback should you need the help.

Thank you for this.I will take another look at the spreadsheet. I attempted to download the sheet but got lost when I tried to paste it in the signature block. I'll try again this afternoon. I keep track of this information in the AlphaTrak booklet but can transfer the numbers to the spreadsheet.

I'm having difficulty adding information about my kittie's situation and the spreadsheet to my signature block. The signature block seems to be limited to 3 lines so I don't see how/where to add more. I must be missing something but I'm still familiarizing myself with the felinediabetes website.

Thank you Diane, this is so helpful. I'm setting up my spreadsheet and after I finish entering the data I'll circle back and look at the Lantus information you mention.
