Mikey is having his bounces but have seen some lower numbers! Vet Zoom meeting on Thursday
Still a hungry boy! Very compliant with meds and testing. You folks were right it becomes second nature testing and injecting.

Thanks
Tom ( Mikey’s dad)

This is good news!

Bouncing can also be caused by sharp drops. Does Mikey get small meals in the first part of the cycle? Maybe a little food at +1 and +3 might help "smoothen the curve" and reduce the bouncing?

Is the Epigen dry food? I ask because I was wondering which method you follow. If dry it’s Slgs. If not you can follow either. If neither it’s Custom. It’s not in your signature or on the ss.

Yes, the Epigen is dry food.

@Thomas you might want to add "Dosing per vet" or something like that to you Signature and SS.

I only use the Epigen for a snack reward after a shot and only if I have run out of PureBites freeze dried chicken. Even though it says it is low carb and Dr Pierson approved, I don’t want to get my spoiled boy into loving it to set up a food strike. It is like kitty crack for him

Mikey is a grazer. He gobbles at shot time, then eats more thru +3 . I know bouncing is part of the roller coaster.

I think he may benefit with a little food at +1. Either you could feed him a little less with the shot and feed that at +1. Or feed him a spoon more at +1.
See if thhat reduces the diving and the subsequent boucing.

That will be difficult as I feed him and give him his shot at 5:00 or 6;00 am and then I am back to dreamland for 4 or 5 hours. His night shot occurs and I am out to the volunteer job or gym for 4 hours. We are both going to have to accept the yo-yo.
