I wonder if I need to be more careful about his last snack of the night. The feeder opens 3 hours before AMPS, but it’s possible he doesn’t eat it until later in the cycle. Maybe that explains the higher AMPS.

Possible. Can you get the autofeeder to rotate to an empty slot by +10? Or, since we are talking of a few days (fingers crossed), you set an alarm for +9, feed and go back to bed. I know that's hard to do when working!

Could you have it set that the feeder opens 4 hours before AMPS instead of 3?

I’ll do the autofeeder thing tonight. They’ll just have to learn to eat before it disappears!

Definitely. Sometimes they are upstairs sleeping and don’t realize it went off, so I figure he might discover it closer to shot time. I’ll probably have to do what Bhooma says and make it rotate to an empty slot to stop him eating after +10.
