9/24 Bama Kitty AMPS 371 +2 303 +4.25 320 +8 336 PMPS 333 +2.75 328 +5.25 314

Starting the slide @ +2 303; fed some Dr. Elsey’s Salmon kibble (+/- 9%) that I didn’t offer after AMPS; checking again around +4.5 or +5.

Experimenting with meal times & amounts; he ate 3 oz ( less 1 teaspoon) l/c canned after AMPS; small amount of Dr. Elsey’s kibble after AM +2; rest of his l/c canned from breakfast and couple bites from last night’s leftover l/c canned after AM +8. Numbers for first 8 hours are flat in low to mid 300s. Maybe we can avoid a higher bounce and a scary low slide.

Can you remind me again why you are feeding dry food? Bama seems to like to spend his time in the pink zone, and would benefit from faster increases but you have to stick to one a week on SLGS.

Bama will not eat a strictly wet food diet. I have tried to convert him with no success. The dry he is eating now is +/- 9% carbs, Dr. Elsey's Salmon kibble. I usually feed Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein Chicken kibble but Chewy.com was out of the 2.2 lb. bag when I last ordered it. It is in my next auto-ship which is coming in the next few weeks. Today when I fed him after AMPS, he was eating well so I continued to give him the LC wet and he ate nearly the entire 3 oz. Later I gave him some of the dry [AM +2] and the rest of the can at AM +8. Tonight he is eating poorly, just a few bites of the LC wet but will eat the kibble. I think the pink is his comfort zone. Little change in BG between AM+8 & PMPS unless he dipped some between times. Maybe I should not feed after +6 or +7.
