I thought we were going to have some action this morning after the +2.25 reading but then Callie had a vet visit so maybe that stress kept her numbers in the yellows all day (and now night...?) Or maybe she's just still bouncing from her blues a couple of days ago.

Either way, this is the 10th cycle at this dose. Thinking she needs to increase to 3.5 tomorrow am.

Yes, she is good for an increase to 3.5U tomorrow.

Did the vet check her teeth? Get fresh labwork done?
Thanks, Bhooma.

New vet (her old vet left the practice earlier this month so we thought we would try a house call vet since she gets so stressed going into the office and had a bad asthma attack after the last visit.) He checked her teeth and ears and said they both look really good. We are going to try a new medication for her itching/allergies. No new bloodwork since she just had it done in July when she was diagnosed. Unfortunately, it seems like he falls into the category of vet that doesn't know too much about FD. Said he is thrilled with most of her numbers (happy as long as she is under 300 :() and isn't necessarily sold on low carb or TR. He seems great otherwise so not really sure what we are going to do long-term.

BTW, I saw that Bandit was still running high and I read your message about her feeling unwell and going in for an ultrasound Friday. So sorry that she's going through a tough time. Callie and I are sending loads of healing thoughts and hugs :bighug: to Bandit and to you. I hope you get answers from the test that can help Bandit feel better soon!

My vet says 300 is a normal number for a cat. Have never asked a vet aboit dosing advise. Every very I saw for Bandit (for other issues) always cautioned that I should ensure her BG doesn't drop below 150! :rolleyes:

Thank you! I hope we figure it out soon. It's realy hard to see them unwell. :bighug:

So weird. I had no idea how lucky we were with our old vet. From the beginning, she talked to us about remission, at-home testing, low carb food and dosing "aggressively but safely."

It is the worst. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
