Good morning, Lori. Looks to be a bit of a bounce this morning but he had some very good numbers yesterday. How does he do with the Flovent? I cannot imagine a cat tolerating that but maybe some do. Is he eating okay?

Good morning Summer. Yes I was hoping for a blue this morning. I hope it will come back down. He does well with his Flovent. He’s had asthma since age 4 so he’s been on it for a long time up until the beginning of this year we took him off of it for a while. Looks like he’s needing it again with the cooler temperatures. I hope this is a bounce and not the Flovent causing the rise in BG. It didn’t seem to affect it yesterday morning. He’s eating well and acting fine this morning. Happy Sunday!

Hi Bhooma,
I thought he might do that too because the last test I did was at PMPS+4 and was 132. Lately his nadir has looked like it’s late in the cycle. With that being said, I HAD to sleep so I did a no no and gave him some high carb food in his feeder. He’s 235 this am so I guess it’s from the food or it could be another bounce. Depending on what happens today, I may have to do that again because I have to leave the house early tomorrow. Any suggestions? Thank you. @Bandit's Mom

That steady decline yesterday was interesting to see.

I'd watch him overall today, if his Nadir never gets below 100 I wouldn't worry too much about giving high carb food in high amounts at least. Maybe a mix 50/50 hc/lc? Safe but not necessarily gonna drive up the numbers too high :)

What do you normally feed?

I feed him FF pates in small amounts after testing him every 2-3 hours. I have found that keeps him more stable it seems. Last night I gave FF high carb in his feeder.
