That's the big problem with acro....you never know when the tumor is pulsing and it can stop at any time.

I think you'd be justified to skip tonight and let the depot drain a little or give a much reduced dose. Get a couple tests in tonight if you can. (even if it's just like a +1 and +3...I know you can't stay up all night testing)
 
Personally, I would have fed my cat and either skipped or given a half dose. The reason being that he was not coming up on his own without food (you stalled to check).

That’s what I did, but I didn’t give him any insulin. I was just too afraid going through the night and I need to sleep. He will probably be on the moon tomorrow because it spikes but I didn’t know what to do. Today has been a bad day. My sister came to watch Max because I had doctors appointments and then I came home to this. I hope he will be okay. Thanks for responding.

Please try to get a ketones test in as soon as you can, since you skipped.

I am glad to see you got some tests in tonight, that'll give you data how how he does on his own should you see lower numbers at preshot time again. Though hopefully next time in the AM so you can monitor.

He's not used to lower/normal BG numbers. Neko hid under the bed for her first greens, but was playful in low 300's at that time. Thankfully that changed around over time. It's very common for cats to feel off when they hit greens. Think of the high BG like caffeine. Cut down and you feel horrible.

Don’t worry. You will get Max back on track. You haven’t messed anything up permanently! You did what you needed to do with Max. I had to do the same several times and was able to get my kitty back on track. What’s happening with Max is good — the lower BGs, I mean.
