A little dabble into blues again today! I'm sorry to see his ears are still bothering him. I couldn't remember if you had decided to follow TR? If you are, you've been on 10 units for 8 days, and lowest on this dose was 5 days ago, and still no greens in sight. I would suggest an increase to 11u tomorrow. Even if you are following SLGS, I'd still think about an increase. With SLGS you hold a dose for a week, and assess usually with a curve, but you test well enough daily to get a sense of how the cycles are going, both am and pm, and nadirs are generally above 150.

Hi, I’ve been doing TR but watching him a little more carefully because he’s had so many issues come up, ear infections, pancreatitis, dehydration. I know that when his BG gets to a normal level these things will improve. I’m trying to get there. I have a lot of other stuff going on right now too. I do test him as often as I can because I’m trying to learn how to coordinate his feeding to try and keep him from bouncing as much. It seems like his nadirs are sometimes earlier and sometimes later. I guess that’s to be expected. I am well aware that my inexperience with FD and my anxiety probably make me a little overly cautious. I am a nurse and have taken care of humans for 30 years so that maybe explains my stubbornness lol. This is very different and new to me. It’s getting a little easier because of this group… @Wendy&Neko and others have taught me so much. Wendy had also suggested an increase soon. I plan to go up to 11 units tomorrow if my Lantus comes in as expected. I ordered from Canada last week and since it’s my first time ordering I want to make sure I receive it on time and it’s okay since I’m on the last of what I have. You're welcome, Lori. Nothing wrong with being a bit cautious, as you say you have a lot of issues to juggle with Max so it is perfectly fine to make sure you are comfortable. It is entirely possible now that we've been discussing a possible increase in Max's near future that he's going to decide to prove me wrong :)
