Congratulations! :D
You want to test every hour when new to green. And feed a little LC with every test.
Ah. Well it’s a bit late for that now. I gave him just a touch of MC and he came up. That’s the problem that I have now though. If he did that during the day, while I’m at work, what am I supposed to do? Now that he’s lower, I think maybe I switch to SLGS?

Did he get a little LC with every test last night?

A few suggestions for next time:
(a) When he starts lower feed a little less at PS so he will eat later in the cycle - unless he's the kind of who will never refuse food :-)
(b) When he is even lower at +2, test every hour and feed a little LC with every test. Sometimes you may have to feed higher carbs (10-12%) earlier in the cycle to slow down the drop.
(c) Feeding MC later in the cycle causes them to zoom up and results in loss of duration too.

SLGS would make more sense if you could not test at all. We may want to continue with TR but just be more conservative with increases and reductions so he stays in safer numbers when you are not at home to test him. And of course, if he starts lower, you could feed higher carbs at +1 and also leave higher carbs in the autofeeder.

He had LC available in the feeder, but I think maybe he didn’t eat for a couple hours and then I gave him a bit more. I almost have to walk him to the feeder some nights. Maybe I’ll move it to the bedroom.

a. I’ll try separating some out and feeding him later. He will mostly always eat, but it couldn’t hurt.

b. I’ll keep and eye out and mix in a little MC if he seems to be dropping.

c. I gave him a little at +5 when he was at 63. He’s still pretty low this morning so hopefully wasn’t too much.
Thanks, Bhooma! :)
