I hope he will be feeling better soon, Lori. Looks to be a bit of a bounce this morning. I'm not familiar (but have heard a lot) about DKA. Is that something that will go away or will he always have that concern. Same question for the IBD. Is that Irritable Bowel Disease? I'm so sorry he has these other issues. Your boy deserves the very best and I know that is what you are doing for him.

I don't like that. High BG and vomiting. I know you don't either. How many times over the last 24-48 hours has he vomited. Is he keeping his food down? I bet it's his ears. I hope that's all. Whenever Darcy was vomiting with high BGs he usually had an infection (confirmed via white count) and had to go on antibiotics... but that was just him. I only freaked out (every time this happened) because of his DKA history.

Yes he had DKA once after he was first diagnosed. He does have irritable bowel disease too. Thanks for your concern.:bighug:

Sorry I’ve been keeping my grandchildren today and taking care of Max. So tired! :confused:I gave Max some Sub Q fluids and some cerenia. He has eaten more today and kept it down. I think what happened was he bounced on his BG and he vomited because he was so hungry and there must have been some food left in his automatic feeder. He does that sometimes when he’s really hungry then eats too fast so I didn’t even know if that BG this morning may have been affected by all of that too, but I think he may have bounced again. Poor guy. His ears are looking better than they were. He’s not felt great today and he is not a fan of my two grand daughters (age 2 1/2 and age 9 months lol so he’s had a rough day…and me lol. Hoping for a quiet night and for Max to feel better tomorrow. Thanks for asking about him.

I'm hoping you and Max have a nice, quiet, night tonight, Lori. Children can be hard on cats. Cats don't understand the little ones and the energy they produce. Sounds like you both need a break. I'm glad to hear that ears look better. Maybe the quiet and the calm will help Max's glucose come down. Wishing you a good night with lots of sleep and a happy cat.

I’m hoping so too. Thank you!
