Well, I figured a bounce would happen sooner or later with the beautiful numbers he's been getting, but I was hopeful that maybe it wouldn't happen. I was bummed when I saw 414. When will these bounces stop? Also, I try not to shoot in the same spot all the time. Is it possible that the body will absorb the insulin better in some spots than others?

My cat continues to bounce for well over a year. The bounces do seem to get lower over time. At first, Phoenix bounced into the 400s. He now bounces mostly into the 300s and lately even the high 200s.

I have given the insulin shots all over Phoenix. I can't see that it made any difference in his BG. Have a nice day!

I thought I had read that it is absorbed better when you inject in the flank, but I cannot find that post at the moment.

I usually give in the scruff because that’s where she’ll let me.

i mostly shot around the shoulders. Neko wasn't fond of it elsewhere. On the times I did try flank, I didn't see a difference.

Cats bounce until they don't. Sorry, each cat is different in this one. Lots of nice green like I think you are seeing tonight (spreadsheet day is labelled the 25th ;)) will help him get used to normal numbers and is how to get them to stop bouncing as high.
