YAAAAAYY!!! 14th day is here !!

i cannot believe we got here :woot::woot: this has been without a doubt the most difficult period in our lives (because difficulties like coming in bulk), Chico’s diabetes came in what was already a very difficult time for us and we really needed a win and we got it, actually Chico gave it to us!

Chico was diagnosed diabetic by a vet who didn’t have any experience with FD and it left us very confused and on the search of information. This forum came like a Godsend (i wish there were such communities for all life “complications”). Without all the information on the forum:bookworm: and without a doubt to all the people here there is no way, no way Chico would have had a chance to get regulated, even more to get to remission.

Even though after 7 months on the forum i believe it is unfortunately not always enough to follow the protocol very meticulously for our kitties to get regulated and there is no rule of how fast this will happen but i have learned as well that by following the TR protocol we give our beloved kitties the highest chance of getting there :cat:

The entire community was here to help us and guide us and we are extremely humbled and thankful to everyone:bighug::bighug:. I would like to show special gratitude to the 2 people who helped us the most thru this unintuitive disease: without @Gill & George ’s patience, experience and explanation in the beginning and without @Bandit's Mom guidance thru all the highs and lows we would have never made it here.

In the end i want to say how impressed i am at all the love on this forum, at all of you who are so willingly giving up sleep at night, the chance to go out to enjoy, changing plans for your beloved kitties, all of you kept us motivated and gave us a lot of strength to keep going :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yesterday’s post

Congratulations!!!!:otj::otj::otj:
And welcome to the falls, may Chicos stay be a long and happy one!

It was a pleasure guiding you and Denis in Chicos journey, it wouldn't have been possible without all those that came before who selflessly and generously handed down what they had learnt to me, that is the beauty of this forum. . You both took all the twists and turns of Chico's journey in your stride and your dedication to your little guy was impressive, organising your schedules to care for him night and day. I'm so thrilled that you got there, even if it did take a little longer than you had hoped. :)

I hope that you continue to visit us and keep us updated on Chico's progress.:kiss::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Gill for the kind words :bighug::bighug:

even if it did take a little longer than you had hoped. :)

To be honest from April to some time in July we were on some kind of autopilot: measure, shoot, feed, measure, feed, set up autofeeder and repeat, i cannot recall a big part of this period :D we are happy to have gotten here at all so we cannot complain that it took longer :)

I hope that you continue to visit us and keep us updated on Chico's progress.:kiss::bighug::bighug::bighug:

this forum is kind of addictive :D so as long as time will allow us we will come back for sure :)

Cannot improve on @Gill & George 's perfect response (Great to see you back here, Gill! :-) )

I am so very happy for you Marina. You and Denis have worked very very hard to get here and I am glad that your hard work paid off!
Wishing Chico a strong, life-long remission and a long and healthy life!

Stay in touch! :bighug:

Thank you Bhooma for your help and kind words :bighug: i know that there are a lot of people on this forum that as well work very hard but they did not yet get to remission and trust me, we do not take it for granted :bighug: we are extremely grateful to you for being here and supporting a lot of us when we are lost and we don't know what to do next :bighug:

I'm so happy for you and your family, Marina! You have been a huge help to me and you deserve the very best. Prayers for Chico to stay in remission for the rest of his life. Hope you will return to give updates and continue to guide others. Its Party Time!!!!!!!!!:woot::woot::woot::woot:
