I need to decide when to go on vacation for 10 days. My mom will take care of Lisa during that time and she can shoot but she can't test so often so I will need to reduce the dose during that time. Maybe she will need to not shoot at all?

Dear Di. Your girl, Lisa, will not be in remission by August 20th. It takes a two week trial, without insulin, in order to officially reach remission and she is not ready for the trial based on her numbers and her dosage. I am hoping the good folks on this site can help you with your Lisa and also allow you to take a 10 day vacation. It would be a blessing if your Mom could learn to test. It is always risky to give insulin without the test beforehand. And, at least a test or two, during the cycle is recommended. Can you teach your Mom to test? I know it is hard in the beginning but kitties learn to get used to it - and so do caregivers.
I want you to have your 10 day vacation but I also worry about Lisa. If you could put your vacation off for a couple of months, the folks on this site might help you get her into remission so she could be safe and you could enjoy your time away without worrying about her. I know that is asking a lot of you but please consider it.

August 20th is still a while away in the world of cat diabetes. Lisa has changed a lot in 2 weeks. I would ask again about a vacation dose 3-4 days before you have to leave.
Not trying to put you off but there is a ton of time between now and Aug 20 and things can change quickly either way.
She earned a reduction today to 0.1u so you should take it. Whenever you decide on a date for vacation, ask again about three days in advance.
