Thank you! 72I've got my eyes on you now.Let us know what the next test is. You may want to switch to medium carb if you have and he's still in the 50s. Keep him surfing without bumping up too much with high carb.
Even though he's ravenous? FYI, he's a grazer and demands food every 90 minutes. No trouble with appetite for him.Ok! Hold off on feeding him and test again at +4 to see if he needs some LC.
68If he wants more, feed him a small amount of LC. We want to keep him hungry.
Thank you! Glad the HC didn’t skyrocket him. This is good, he's flat. If he's still hungry more LC and test in one hour.
That was a big drop. MC is always good at +2 if you ever see a 100+ point drop even if it wasn't to a green number. When Ruby was starting to get regulated and prone to dropping early in her cycles, I would feed her 7-8% carb at shot time to help the insulin along and prevent the steep drops and the subsequent bounces. ECID though. You'd have to experiment to see what works for Mr. T.Thank you! Glad the HC didn’t skyrocket him.
I’d like to know for the future, what should I have fed at his +2?
Thank you. Very good insight. I'll keep all of that in mind for the future and I guess we shall see what works for him. That was a big drop. For real! And we were doing so well. Bummed about him getting too low, but I can't do anything about it now.Looks like the diving team is out in force today!
I checked to see if we could blame things on a full moon and we can't.Looks like the diving team is out in force today!

Yeah! If we were 67/64 at around +5 I might be a little nervous, but I'm good with this.Great surf!![]()
+6.5 58 + 7 52Planning another test, Joey? Want to make sure he keeps going up or stays flat.
He got LC ~30 before his last test. Yup. 11% high enough?Heading downward... When was the last time you fed? Can you give him some MC and test in 30?
Ruby was not sensitive at all to carbs at the beginning. I was feeding her 28% carb food to bring her up. After she got tightly regulated I could give her MC when she was in the 40s and she’d pop back up. Carb sensitivity can change with time. This is why taking good notes and having data to back it up can be helpful.81 after the 14% MC. Surprised he isn't higher. Maybe he really didn't want to be pulled up. Or carbs don't bump him too much. That's something I haven't quite learned yet.
It's still trial and error for me, too - plus the food has to be something she'll eat. I'm probably repeating myself, but what seems to work for Minnie is a few drops of karo syrup mixed into the MC food.81 after the 14% MC. Surprised he isn't higher. Sorry you're going through this but it's comforting to have all this company today!!
It's a good thing he decided to do this in the day! Congrats on the reduction!![]()
Looking at the cycle that followed after, it looks like it took some effort to keep him up, so maybe the reduction was a matter of time.So I shouldn't be bummed about failing to feed him MC at +2 and letting him get below 50?

But in future, a drop like that at +2 would warrant MC, if not HC![]()
