Hi
Here are the food trial results for Tansi today.
I did fast
AMBG test
1 tsp low carb food
3 hour fast
+3 BG

free feed

2 hour fast
PMBG test
1 tsp low carb food
3 hour fast
+3 BG

Given the rest of his numbers on SS, does it look like Tansi is out of remission?

Also, I know I am supposed to link to my post from yesterday, can someone tell me how?

Many thanks

Easy answer first. :) Go to yesterday’s post and copy the browser address. Come back to this thread and click on “edit” on your first post. At the top in the text box, type “Previous Post” or Yesterday” ….something like that. Highlight it. Go to the Toolbar above the text box and. Lick on the hyperlink which is the sideways paper clip, 7th from your left. A box will open. Paste the browser link into the box and click “insert”. Tomorrow before you start your first post, copy the browser address and then put it in the new post, first text box, first thing. I hope that helps.

When I look at his SS, I notice that insulin was stopped when he was at 2u. In this Forum, we take them down to 1 drop and the BG has to be between 50-99 for most of the time for 14 days without insulin before we call it remission. I’m actually not surprised Tansi has fallen out of remission so quickly.

Do you think you can draw 0.25u of insulin? Do you have syringes with 1/2u markings? If you can, I’d suggest starting at 0.25u every 12 hours. You will want to be sure you have your hypo toolkit, plenty of HC foods, syrup, plenty of test strips, and are able/available to test.

Here is what 0.25u looks like:

Thank you so very much.
I had no idea about the drop insulin until I started reading the info in this forum, so I am so glad that Bhooma suggested I check in here.

Yes my syringes have .5 marking so I think if I have my glasses on, bright light, and the diabetes angels on my shoulder, I can draw up .25.

Hypo kit ready!

I will re read the posting information in the morning when it looks less daunting.

Thanks again so much

Go to your "profile page" by hovering over your name in the top right of your screen, then click the "postings" tab.
There you should see yesterday's post. right click and copy that, and post it here.

Thanks so much. I don't have a computer, I just use my phone. I will try to address this in the morning

Also, how often do you suggest I test tomorrow for the possibility of hypo since its the first day back on the juice?

First, if he’s green, hold off and don’t shoot.

You could start with a +1 and +2. If the +2 is similar to or less than the AMPS, test at +3 at the latest. Be sure you are feeding him.

Post for help at any time you need support.

Good luck!
