8/3, Susie, 303 AMPS, 254 @+2, 166 @+3, 174 @+4, 188 @+6.2, 238 @+7.2

Actually he is eating just fine. He has NEVER not wanted to eat. I'm feeling more and more like the vet used it as a general term for mouth inflammation instead of using it properly. Now that the vet called about his bloodwork (I'll tag you in my post) I definitely need to get him in for a dental. The idea of putting him under anesthesia is very scary to me though. Is it for you?

Yes, Heather, I would be afraid to put Susie under especially if she had other medical issues. On top of that is the expense. Just horrible what the vets charge for the dentals and everything else. I'm so glad to hear he is eating well. I read somewhere that if a cat has stomatitis it is generally painful for them to eat so maybe your vet is wrong. I look forward to seeing your labs even though I can't decipher them very well. I mean I can see what is high and low but what it all means escapes me.

I used to love the storms too - until I had "storm/firework anxiety" dogs. Now, I am just happy with rain  and can do without the thunder and lightening. My foxhound is a nut case. She will run around barking and barking in the pouring rain if there is thunder and lightening. All this with a bark collar on  She even looks up at the sky when she sees the lightening.

Hmm, very good examples, it took me a while to be able to formulate how these cycles are different, i am still not certain it will make sense what i will try to say :D those all are as well bounce clearing cycles, but they are a different “type”, Susie nadirs there at next preshot. Today she nadired at +3 for that reason i wouldn’t have worried about a second low. With that said i think you did the right thing: you made sure you wouldn’t have to stress about Susie’s BG when you couldn’t follow her.

Thanks for all that information. On some of those days the nadir at PMPS was really surprising because she would be coming up later in the day and then just drop. If I see her numbers coming down after say +6 or +7 then I can expect it but it didn't always happen like that. I feel like I have to be a rocket scientist or analytical thinker to be able to find her patterns. :arghh: Maybe it will come in time. After all is said and done, I have no regrets about the decision to feed high carb. What is it you all say "Better high for a day than low for a minute"? Thanks, again, for trying to help me with Susie's patterns. I have learned a lot from you the last couple of days. Now, if I can only retain it.

I'm glad you've got some blue. I still don't understand FCC's pattern other than him needing food at +1 and +2 to stop from diving. Thank goodness for all the wonderful help we get.

Good luck today.

Well, not the day I was hoping for. She is going back up pretty quickly at +7.2 with a 238 (tested twice). This is part of my problem. She doesn't have consistent patterns.

Thanks so much, Acadaca! Your kitty is amazing. Look how good he/she has done since mid July. FCC is a true potential candidate for remission. Congratulations. You are doing a great job! :D

By the way, you are right about the help we get on this site. It is absolutely invaluable!

Thanks. I think everyone here is probably trying their hardest. It's all up to the kitties.

Don't assume it will be exactly the same. Susie likes to keep us on our toes. If she has a lower number after PMPS, you might want to follow up with one more test before calling it a night. ;)
I always get a +2 after PMPS, before I go to bed, and usually try to set my clock for around a +4 or +6 if I have to. I'm really tired today. Had a lot of stuff going on with my Mom and would actually consider it a blessing if Susie stayed higher tonight. Need sleep and calm.
