Yesterday

I was expecting to be gone all day and unable to monitor, but plans were cancelled. I had already added a touch of MC food to his morning snack and his lunch, just to be safe. It will be interesting to see how this impacts his numbers.

So I’m thinking tomorrow I should increase by .25U since it’s been 5 days at his current dose (1.25) and nadirs are mostly in the blues (and he’s not new to the blues)? Is that right?

You have some green nadirs for the first time. I would give him some be more day at the current dose to see if you see more green.

Just a quick review on dose increases:

Increasing the dose:

• Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
  • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
  • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
• Increase by 0.25 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300.
• Increase by 0.5 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are greater than 300.

Because Moondance has started to see nadirs that are below 100, you want to hold the dose for 10 cycles (5 days). That first green nadir was on 7/29. You would want to evaluate the dose tomorrow evening and potentially increase at AMPS on Tuesday if warranted.

I was thinking it meant 10 cycles from when He started at that dose, not 10 cycles from when he got the first green. Thanks, Sienne, for clarifying that!
