Probably a combination of the MC and a mini-bounce from last night. Plus the insulin is not yet onset. Let's see where he is at +3?
 
Well I gave him 0.5 tsp MC with his normal LC ... sorry, he was circling and crying but will check his BG at +1
 
It was totally fine either way. I actually went back and forth as to how to advise. You are doing a good managing his curves.
 
I have often gotten the add MC when it has been around this number lately so when he started circling right after his shot while I waited, I just went ahead with a slightly smaller amount of MC than last time and his LC
 
What % s your mc? I on,y suggested lc because you just reduced again so was curious to see if there was a food bump. You couldn’t have gone wrong either way. Mc will likely be needed at +1 or +2 or even both times.
 
15 or 16 I think (FF Gravy Lovers Whitefish & Tuna) ... I had thought it was HC but several have said that HC is like over 16%. I do have some HC (only 2 cans of Friskies indoor that is like 25% but it was the only variety of the two types my cat had had before higher than 14%.
 
If you do a combo of lc with a teaspoon of mc you are good. It’s all vague as we rely on the manufacturers plus they make large batches at a time so they vary. Many find 10-15 is mc. If Max needed hc I went for 20-30%. So whatever you find works for Jaxon is what you feed him.
 
So far what I have had worked ... added a drop or so of honey when was lower (like below 50). It is what I had so it is what I could use ya know. I did somewhere between 0.5 and 1 tsp (I didnt measure it this time)
 
Gave about 1 tsp ... there was teeny tiny bit of his dinner in the bowl still that got mixed in, but it was just a trace amount

Up the carbs a little since he didn’t get a food bump. Even a mix of lc and mc would be fine.
 
Allison, Jaxons SS got my attention yesterday, looks like he will become the new Chnoudi on the forum :):) i just went back to your first posts and i have to say i am amazed at Jaxon’s progress :woot: and you are doing an amazing job at managing it all, it is very nice to follow as well due to the speed you had to learn and adapt :)
Hope Jaxon will continue his nice progress :bighug::bighug:
