I keep seeing people linking to my previous post .... am I supposed to always link to my previous day's post?

Sorry just got that now .... am guessing MC food and test in 20-30 mins?
Yes. And I think you can take a reduction in the next cycle to 0.25U.

I keep seeing people linking to my previous post .... am I supposed to always link to my previous day's post?
LOL. Yes. We ask members to link their previous post to the current one so that we can look at history, should we need to, while giving advice. I'm sorry if no-one told you that. I assumed you weren't remembering to.

No, no one had said anything .... and if it was in the posting guideline sticky, I must have missed it

Why do people on here seem to say previous "condo" instead of convo? just noticed when I went to recheck posting guidelines and was confused

You might want to tag Bhooma properly so she gets the post. I don't know if you know how to do it so I will tag her for you. @Bandit's Mom Keep in mind that she is in India and the afternoons, for us, are evenings for her. I think she likes to be in bed between 2:00 and 3:00 pm EST. You can tag Elise at @tiffmaxee. She is on the west coast of the US so might be around to help you. I'm not supposed to give dosing advice because I'm fairly new but I think, looking at your spreadsheet, it is probably okay to give l/c since Jaxon has come up from earlier. Check again in a couple hours just to make sure. Maybe someone will chime in.

Alright ... gave him a 0.25 can and added a 0.5 tsp of oat bran (very low carb according to the package (20g for 1/3 cup) and high soluble fiber). I do this usually up to 3 times a day (depending on how hungry he seems to be and it has helped ... I have also used pumpkin when I had some to spare (used for the dog to keep his anal glands in order)

The amount I gave is in part because I have to go out to get groceries and his strips (and food) which means I will be out for a couple hours at least

I do not know how to do that .... since the name that shows up has a space in it .....
You type @ followed by the person's FDMB ID and you will get a drop down of names and you can select the one you want.

ETA: Even replying to someone's post like you did earlier with mine sends them an alert.

Sorry I wasn’t around but glad Bhooma was. It’s good he didn’t drop under 50. If he does tonight I would take the reduction.

No. Not from me. I would only reduce if he drops under 50. I think it could happen tonight. Make him earn it. Too many reductions too close together rarely work.

If the Pmps is without food DO NOT SHOOT OR FEED. Stall and retest in 20-30 minutes. Nobody should shoot under 50 ever.

Its ok, that is why I asked cause it confused me :) sometimes I can interpret typo but that was not just swapped letters :D

Ya have had that when on my phone any number of times and hit enter before I re-read the phrase .... had to quickly type a "I meant .... blah" ... usually to hubby so he just figured it out OR asked if needed

You are so brave to shoot these low numbers so early in fd. It’s a good thing I didn’t test at the very beginning as I would have likely skipped. :D

You both are doing great! I forget. Were you feeding dry food or high carb canned before diagnosis?

Mostly dry, had added a small amount of wet to give him extra hydration ... had a cat with crystals before, no interest in repeating that experience

I USED to have him on a brand called PC Nutrition First (from local grocery) and according to the carb calculator I used it has 28.99 % ME Carb at the time and the new is 27.55 % ME Carb.
but during covid the store could NOT get it in stock and had no idea when they would be back ... turns out they were redoing packaging or something .,.. but the store didn't know that, they just knew it was "do not reorder" status ....which usually means discontinued in their experience. So I started looking for a Canadian made brand and carried at the petstore I had been getting some special items at (dog's treats etc because the grainfree ones he likes were not available on like amazon at the time. Well what we switched him to was "grain friendly" and within 6 months we were having issues with peeing outside box etc and I got him checked out ....

The change to all wet has really made a huge difference. I was feeding canned as Max blocked when he was 5 but his food was too high in carbs. Between that and chronic pancreatitis he ended up diabetic.

The food oddly enough that I fed him (his wet that is) was actually Friskies. I know the fish flavors should be steered away from but it is what he eats best ... and when vet said he needed to eat his food all at once, fish is the only one I am fairly sure he will do most of the time ..... so I just stay away from Tuna (higher mercury in that one according to FDA and he doesn't like it as far as pet food flavors, he loves tuna juice when he gets it once in a while when we make like tuna sandwiches or pasta salad

If you look at his earliest numbers (back in Dec) we tried Merricks but we could not afford it long term ...

The last two tests were back to his regular machine ... not sure if his last test was off or not ....but should be ok to shoot I presume :)

ok. Easier for me to this time of the day :) I am not the most alert in the early morning :) awake enough to do what I have pre-planned to do :) check sugar and give meds .... (or take them if I need to) .... but staying awake is not easy :)
