I gave him some Fancy Feast Medleys White Meat Chicken Primavera with Garden Veggies and Greens in a Classic Sauce after his +2
I didn't realize it is 16% carb... I thought it was only 13%... duh.
So, I probably should not have given it to him as it pushed him up too much perhaps, but he is safe.

I noticed you've switched Toeby to .5 mg of budesonide every day, Laura. Would be interested in seeing what this does for his numbers in a few days and if it keeps his IBD at bay as well as 1 mg did.

Hi Bron, yes I have been writing on the tins, and keeping them in 3 different places (LC, MC, and HC) but I messed up with this particular kind.
I guess in the USA they sell Fancy Feast Medleys Primavera in a pate which is shown as only 4% carbs on one chart...
So I actually wondered if what I had was low carb, but the fact that it had sauce made me sure it was higher.
I have only ever seen the FF Medleys in the sauce type for sale here and but I swear I saw it listed as 13% somewhere, but I double checked tonight and it is 16% on Dr. Piersons chart.
Anyway, I am sure I don't have to tell you this, but if you're not in the USA you have to pay special attention to the chart descriptions and hope what you have is the same as what is on the charts.
I screwed up, but at the same time he fell quite sharply from preshot to +2 so I don't feel awful about giving him the higher carb food tonight after +2.
I'd like to see him have a good run without any low numbers for a bit... that's probably not the correct way to think but I would like to avoid any big bounces for a little bit.
The new vet who we are working with suggested we try the 0.5 capsules of Budesonide daily for 2 weeks and then go on alternate days, depending how he goes.
She said really trying it is the only way to determine whether it will work as opposed to the 1 mg.
I wasn't sure he'd swallow the larger capsules, but so far, so good.
We'll have to see how he goes, and then I'll email her and let her know so I can order more of whatever works from the compounding pharmacy.
