Ate all his food again, looking for more in AM. Active last night and this morning. Water consumption is much more normal, however hasn't pooped since Friday. Overall encouraging!

@Suzanne & Darcy she was delayed by storms so won't be in till later tonight. However now that we're sick (covid symptoms, but what isn't a covid symptom anymore) we'll likely keep away for at least a week since she has other at-risk family to see, even though she's vaccinated.

The kicker is, based on timing and the order in which we got sick, pretty sure we picked up whatever it is at the emergency vet :banghead:

Eight already? Time flies by. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I hope it’s not COVID. Are you vaccinated?
I am not. At the time they were released here I was pregnant, and then nursing since. Had been waiting for some more solid studies on impact during pregnancy, fertility, fetus/babies. I continued to hold off because of these variants. I figured if we were going to get sick, I needed to get whatever the kids get, that way I can get the right antibodies to them. So far, knock on wood, the baby seems to have the most mild version. Not an easy decision for us any way you look at it, so we've just continued to wear masks, avoid crowds, do store pickup, etc

My sister’s neighbor was vaccinated as was her brother. Her husband was not and he travels a lot. She now thinks they all have it! This latest variant is so contagious. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sounds like a good Mr. Kitty report, but I will send along some pooping vines to make it perfect.

One of the ladies I row with is a doc who delivers babies for a living, and been involved in some studies. She highly recommends the vaccines. Says if pregnant, you get two for one coverage. Hope you and your family feel better soon. Bummer that you might have got it at the vet!

Good news on Mr. Kitty. I that is very wise to be cautious about using what is an experimental emergency use vaccine on yourself while pregnant and nursing - not to mention your kids who have what amounts to almost a zero chance of death from any form of COVID. Everyone needs to do their own due diligence and consider all factors for themselves and their families including age, health conditions, etc. A lot of people I know are vaccinated and some have chosen to not get vaccinated at this time (nobody’s gotten sick yet). And a few who had COVID were warned by doctors to not get the vaccine. Will y’all get tested or just stay home? Anyway, I hope you can get Mr. Kitty unconstipated! But all the rest sounds encouraging. I hope and your whole family will be better soon.

I agree. If I were past child bearing years, it'd probably be a different story. To Wendy's point the preliminary studies are good, but I think back to some of the vaccines/medications in the past where the parent was fine, but the child ended up with developmental issues, or sterile themselves, etc. So since we are choosing not to be vaccinated at this point in time, we're just trying to be as responsible as we can to not put anyone else at risk. Husband is going for a rapid test in about 2 hours.

I pray your family does not have COVID. It is not too late to get the vaccine but that is a personal decision. I really worry about the Delta variant. Worse than the original. Mr. Kitty is looking good and I'm so happy to hear that he is eating good, too. Maybe, just maybe, you have many more years of happiness ahead with him. Keep the faith. Take care, Melissa. I will be thinking about you, your family, your Pippa and Coco.

PMBG 103 possibly food influenced

Well it's not COVID, not sure whether to be relieved or annoyed. With as mild as the kids have it, would have been nice if that was it.

Still no poop on the kitty front. Guess I'll start miralax since it's all I have. Didn't eat much, threw up quite a bit. Went right for fresh food so fingers crossed.

Good luck with the Miralax. Hope he poops for you and you get him to eat. I know Ruby's appy would get iffy if she was constipated but went straight for the bowl once the deed was done. :) Happy day 8!
