Finally! A truly earned reduction for the first time ever!

For those of you that dare peek, there are some glorious shots of him taking his cab this morning @Jay Dee @Liz & Minnie

My plan was to do insulin first then cab, get the harder one out of the way first. That seems to have backfired because all he wants is the cab syringe, he freaked out on me 3 times trying to give the shot when he normally just sits there

Those pics did not disappoint.
Congrats on the reduction:woot: and best of luck with the new dose.
Thanks! I haven't seen a more recent post for Butters, I'm sorry she's still scratching and not eating much. Hope the time til the virtual visit passes quickly for you guys. I also can't believe you LIKE to move...

+6 69, did double check

@Wendy&Neko if you happen to come around, it just occurred to me - should I be treating the 60s and 70s like normal diabetics treat 40s and 50s with MC and such? That feels counterintuitive to me because they're not exactly dangerous numbers but just wanted to check.

I didn't do reductions below 70, until I knew Neko was on the move quickly down dose after SRT. Then when the rate of reductions slowed, I moved it back to 50. I didn't feed any differently. LC above 50 - unless her cycle was still going down and I had to leave the house. But like other cats, acros can also differ in how carb sensitive they are. Neko could surf low 50's for hours (middle of night of course ) with nothing but a freeze dried treat. Others need higher carbs. Keep track of what you feed and when, you'll need to learn what works for Mr. Kitty.

So should I lower reduction threshold to say 50 or 60 then? Since I'm not quite sure when the cabergoline will kick in, but it's likely a little ways off?

I'd actually prefer that because I'd like preshots to be a bit lower

Cabergoline can vary on how long it takes, but I've not seen any sooner than 10 days. It's an accumulative effect. As for the reduction, all you can do and see what works for Mr. Kitty.

Ok. I'll jus call this reduction an experiment and see what happens.

Well this is interesting, PMPS 105. Stalling for just a bit to see what he's doing, it's theoretically safe to shoot...
