Is this a double bounce from 6/30????? I thought yesterday morning she was bouncing and then I am hit with this AMPS.:arghh:

I second Kathy and Adrienne, Suzanne, you will always be welcomed and needed on this group. You are not mourning alone. cat_wings>o

Pamela, I haven't read you post yet but so happy to see you are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

OH, NO! Now we have a hurricane heading our way! :arghh::arghh::eek::eek:

Morning Summer, I can't give you a reason for the pink this morning, but I hope she we see some blue again today. I hope you have a good day Summer ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It dose look like you got a secondary bounce this morning. Glad to see Susie is already back to blue. You may want to get a +10 or +11 test today so you'll know if she's continuing to go down at PMPS time. Sorry to see Elsa turned into a hurricane. I hope it misses you.

Hi Summer, hope you stay very safe from that Hurricane. :nailbiting::nailbiting: Enjoy your nap. :):) Susie surf safely. :cat::cat:
Thanks, Adrienne. Hopefully, it will just go north and be a "fish storm". Had a great nap. I haven't napped like that during the day in a long time. Interesting dreams from in a house I haven't lived in in years. I guess the interrupted sleep at night is catching up with me.

Oh boy! Stinky pinky and now the lemon tree. I’m hoping for better things for Susie soon… but we will be patient!
She is changing. Now she is high in the morning and lower in the afternoon. She just surprised me with a blue a little while ago. Shocked by those pinks though. Wish I could figure her out but "yes, we will be patient". Thanks for visiting us!

Thanks, Carla. Are secondary bounces common? I didn't know they existed but I guess Susie is just a surprising cat. The blue was a surprise but she did this yesterday. I will get a +10 today and maybe another test prior to that. Elsa is expected to be downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it gets to (or near) Florida but I have seen tropical storms devastate as badly as hurricanes.

Wish I could figure Susie out. She used to be lower in the mornings and higher in the afternoons. Now, all of that is changing. @carfurby Is there anything I should be doing if she continues to drop before PMPS?

Oh, gosh. Stay safe, Summer. I hope the hurricane/storm doesnt mess with you too bad! :nailbiting:

Glad you got some sleep, though!

Olivia's nadirs are usually in the early parts of the cycle, but seem to change on a whim and keep me guessing :rolleyes: So I can commiserate.

Hoping she clears the bounces soon!

Thanks, Wendy. These afternoon drops are really a mystery to me. So much seems to be changing with my girl. I am dreading having to constantly test at night. I have to ask you a question. What is "mosi_yazhi"? Just curious. Could it be your ancient, native American ancestors? Doesn't sound like it but would love to know the background of your profile name.

Don't want to go through all the testing I did last night. I will feed her m/c as I see fit to keep her up. Obviously, based on the same event from last night, her +2 will be the lowest of the evening. I can stay awake for that test and she has food coming to her at +2 and +5 anyway in my autofeeder. Don't think I will test again late in the pm cycle again. She was super high.

On bounce clearing cycles cats can nadir later than normal. In a case like tonight if you think she may go low, and you can't stay up all night and test, you can feed MC or HC with the pre-shot meal.

Thanks, Carla. Gave her 2 Tlbs of medium carb at +1. Maybe I should go back to SLGS. She is showing signs of dropping as I decrease the dose. I don't think TR is what I need right now as I can't seem to stop these drops from the reductions. Even when she bounces, she always seems to come back low. Not sure what to do so will hold on this dose for now, watch her for a while tonight and hope it won't be a long night for either of us.

Thank you!

LMAO :D:facepalm: I honestly make it sound cooler than it is, but yes, it's from my 'ancient native american ancestry'! :p

It means 'kitten' in Navajo.

Mósí = cat
Yázhí = young, little

I also should probably be testing more at night, so I commiserate with you there, too.

But hopefully all these changes mean something good is on the horizon!

I love this. Of course I will forget it because that is my brain. You don't ever want to have to test more at night. It is a curse. I just got a 68 at +3 and I normally would have been in bed an hour ago. I hate this aspect. I guess I will stuff her with more high carb, cross my fingers and set my alarm for +6. Love the Navajo name!

Carla, how long will that hc or mc last? My experience with Dolly is if it does increase her BG, it’s very temporary and she will go right back to lower numbers within an hour or two. This is why I try to bring her numbers up with lc until that just won’t work.

Hi. I was busy today and I missed a lot of action! :eek:

I don't know if SLGS would change anything. I think Susie is determined to wean off insulin. I'm thinking out of the box here, but maybe you could try 1.75u at AMPS. 58 that early in PM cycle :nailbiting:

MC/HC food does not prop up the numbers very long. I've heard 20-40 minutes. That's why I've always mixed LC with that so I get the best of both worlds.

Mandy, I think your 20-40 minutes is more accurate than my 1-2 hours.

I just happened to see this and want to address it. There is no such thing as a double or secondary bounce. This is loss of duration. There can be many reasons for loss of duration including incomplete absorption of the shot.
