I'm sorry Dolly is giving you such a hard time with testing. I bet it's not a lot of fun crawling around on the floor for you! How painful. I've been kind of offline for a while... so if you already said this in a previous condo... forgive me.... but did you ever get a new/old/different vet? I thought that you were looking for one?

Hi Suzanne, how are you doing? I am using the newer vet but hoping to find a different one eventually. They are giving me the pain meds for Dolly. Did not give her any today. Think it is affecting her personality, all lovey but very off, hard to explain. I don’t want her in pain, I also don’t want her disoriented and anxious, why she might be hiding. Dolly needs to see a neurologist to see if this is a neurological problem. I called the place her vet told me to call and they are no longer offering those services, doctor is leaving. Other locations are far from me and driving any distance is still very painful for me. You are in my heart and my prayers. My heart breaks for you Suzanne. I wish I could take your pain away. Thanks for checking on Dolly. Sending love and hugs

Just wanted to stop in and say "hello", Adrienne. Sorry to hear Dolly is not herself of the pain meds. I hope she gets more acclimated to them and your old girl comes back to you.

Maybe it's a dosing or frequency issue? Bupe is the safest choice. Just make sure she's having regular BMs because it can be constipating.

No constipation thank goodness. No hiding so far today. Thanks Suzanne. I always appreciate your help and input. Hope you are emotionally able to stick around. You have to do what's best for Suzanne but we need you and hope you will at least visit often if not every day.

Thanks Katherine. Reading through your posts, so much to wrap your head around. With Funny Face we just did the ultrasound so we never knew if it was SCL. She was on so many meds. If we knew then what we know now, double sigh… I didn’t have all of you to help me through and give me all of the wealth of knowledge and unfortunately, personal experience. If I had been here then I would have known, if nothing else, how to make her more comfortable. I have been praying that Olive just had tummy problems a few weeks ago. I hope that is still the case. I don’t think every cat gets diabetes from steroids. Sending prayers for sweet Olive, Ruby-doo and you. You never cease to amaze me how you get yourself ready for a new job and deal with all of this. Big hugs to all, Frank too of course.
