Let's see what those numbers do today! This is one roller-coaster cat. VERY positive note, she tested "LO" on the Ketone meter. That's down from 0.6 yesterday. I gave SQ fluids last night, which I am sure helps, but it is good to see those numbers and sooooooo glad I got the meter, because she seems to pee EVERY time I walk away.
 
Oh that's great news! Maybe those lows yesterday had a benefit after all :confused:

How's her appetite?

Good, better than it has been, and less time hanging over her bowl! I'm going to try some different food with her. Two blues in a row, and not a drop...dare I hope for a good day?

Beautiful! I'd give her a pokey break til +7.5, I doubt she'll drop that much and her poor ears are getting beat up. Ideally I'd have liked her to hit low blues/high greens, but there's still time left, and this is still good enough.
 
Wow, that's a nice recovery from yesterday's limes to get back into blues. AND low ketones. Good work. Glad to read this update. (Minnie also turns away from FortiFlora.... and looks at every treat like it's poison).

You both have definitely earned a bit of a break today. Hope it stays calm!

Oops just saw that. She is trending up, so thoughts on when to test next?

I would give.you both a break for now :) She's basically flat which is good, I'm assuming she's eating throughout this cycle? Maybe catch a +9/+10 to be sure but I think she'll be ok if you both need a break. It's just that late drop yesterday stuck in the back of my head.

I'd like to hold this dose through at least tomorrow's cycles, and perhaps look to increase Saturday morning. She's a little higher than I'd like, but I'd like to give her a chance to settle into this dose and see how she does as infections clear up, she gets back to eating, and gaining weight. If she starts throwing ketones though we'll reevaluate.

She’s been eating throughout, yes. Sounds like a plan!
 
I'm going to try to get to bed early tonight. I think get a test at 5.5. If high blues or yellow test again in 2 hrs. If mid to low blues, test again in 1 hr. If pink, you're probably safe the rest of the night. I'm hoping for some blues but she's got a long way to go to get there.

No ketones right?

No ketones, all good there, I just tested. As far as giving fluids, does it matter when I give them in terms of testing? Was planning on giving after her 5.5, but would before be ok as well?

Oh good! No I don't think it matters much. If it were me I'd be inclined to give them right after nadir, but I think she's high enough that it shouldn't matter.
