SUSIE! Geez Louise. Little less excitement please
I'm with you, Melissa. Less excitement PLEASE. I guess I have the depot from the higher dose to contend with. Any idea how long before the 2.75 dose depot depletes itself a little bit? Very little sleep last night and now I can't even nap in the mornings which I love to do. Sleep deprivation :eek::eek::banghead::banghead::banghead: 59 @+3.

Unfortunately I don't know, I've never had the pleasure of reducing

I think I've seen others say around 3 cycles or so?

Hope the switch to Levemir will be an improvement for your beautiful, black Mr. Kitty.
Thank you. It does seem to keep him flatter, when I don't mess things up. The med for the acromegaly should be in any day now, so I hope that helps as well...seems like it takes about 6-8 weeks to see improvement after starting it

82 @+2. Just fed 1 tsp l/c. I think I might need something else. This is another big drop from AMPS. I'm still dealing with the depot.

Should I give her more l/c, m/c or nothing more. I gave her 1 tsp l/c with her +2.

Good morning Summer. Hope Susie finds a nice safe place and no more limes. I really understand the exhaustion, up till 12:30 with Dolly last night then up again at 2:30 am to give fresh food. I just can’t get her to eat from the timed feeder. Do you have one? I hope today gets better for you and you can nap. Once you get to the perfect dose for her, no reductions for awhile, you can probably kick back and relax (until she needs another reduction). I know remission is not necessarily your goal but I have to tell you when Dolly was in remission for 7 months, I would check her every week or two - talk about sitting back and relaxing and I could leave her for hours and not worry. It’s heaven. :joyful::joyful: Surf safely little Susie. Have a good day you two. :bighug::bighug:

For all the stress Susie's giving you, I'm happy she's in more normal numbers now, compared to the yellows from last week. Means she's got more chance to heal, and the reduction is hopefully proof that you're at the turning point.

You got this, Summer!

I so feel for you with the exhaustion. Susie has been keeping you on your toes, but something tells me you will be finding the right dose for her very soon! You've been amazing with her!

Yes, I have an auto feeder. She is very cute with it. When she knows it has food in it and she smells the food or hears the battery ticking she will sit next to it and stare at it then look up at me and give me a little cry like "Come on, Mom, open it so I can eat". They are wonderful. I'm sorry to hear that Dolly will not eat out of one. I lay down at 11:00, when Susie got a 72, and after a while I eventually slept like a rock. Now, I'm having a hard time waking up. It must be wonderful to get a kitty in to remission and you can get a big portion of your life back. I think that getting up between 5:00 and 5:30, every day for six months, has been the hardest part. I am a morning person but getting up that early every day is tough. Thanks for stopping by, Adrienne.

Thanks, Wendy. I thought I was at a turning point with the 2 units and then she went low and earned a reduction and it was obviously a failed reduction.

Nice numbers I hope you both can get some sleep. Susie surfs safely :)
Thanks so much, Adrienne. Believe it or not I am hoping her numbers come up just a tad so my nights (and days) are not so worrisome. I want the best for her but the constant feeding, to stop the drop, scares me. I just want nice, safe numbers - even if that means I will not get to remission. Seems I have to walk over fire to get her into remission but I would never discourage anyone else for trying to get their kitties into remission. That is the ultimate goal on this site.

Hey Summer , Susie has sure kept you busy, I do pray that you get some sleep tonight, are you listening Susie. Have a peaceful night Summer :bighug::bighug::bighug:
I think Susie is listening with the 173 at PMPS. Just hope she doesn't drop at +2 because I really need some sleep. Hoping the dose reduction will give me a little breathing room down the road. As I was telling Adrienne & Molly I don't want to have to "walk over fire" to get her into remission. I will settle for safe numbers for the rest of her life.
