Hope Dolly's eating well and you can help her surf that 58 today, Adrienne. Hugs! :bighug:
Not eating any food but will eat treats. Would probably eat mc. Vomit on the couch this am, just the one time. Dolly is a good eater. Smells it and walks away or will take one bite. Will test for ketones next. Sorry Katherine, thinking out loud. Worried.

I'm having the same thing with Olive right now. She threw up after eating a few nights ago and she's been off her food since. Only thing she will eat is Dr. Elsey's that I had to buy because she won't eat any wet or raw foods. I'm now worried that Olive also has SCL. Sigh. Hope Dolly gets over her tummy bout soon.

Oh Katherine, I hope Olive is okay. I don't even know what to say except that I pray that isn't the case. My Funny Face I probably told you had IBD and undiagnosed SCL. I nursed her for 18 months. She was hyperthyroid, high blood pressure and diabetes, IBD and probably SCL. She was getting meds for all including a steroid that probably brought on the Diabetes. Vet never said anything so I didn't know, pre FD days (early 2019. My prayers go out for Ruby, Olive and Katherine. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Medium carb did it’s job, why I hesitate to give it. I know I should wait until she is below 50 but sometimes I just get a gut feeling. She is often very carb sensitive. Still not eating anything else. Hesitate to give pain meds because of possible nausea.

You know, when I adopted these cats I thought they would be low maintenance, and for a long time they were. The last cat I had many years ago did not live beyond the age of 7. I was young and didn't have any financial means to take good care of Sadie. I always felt guilty about it and after that I vowed with these two, who have provided me with so much love and needed companionship, that I would not do that to them. Now that they're old ladies with issues, I'm doing the best that I can. That's all we can do, right?

Absolutely. I had cat long ago that never went to the vet. When Rob and I got married, 37 years ago, we had my daughters cat and adopted two more along the way. We had them declawed :arghh::arghh: and one of them was going bald, she went to the vet, but for the most part they never went to the vet. All 3 lived on canned human tuna and junk dry food. The 3 of them lived 18-20 years. Our next kitty went to the vet, we adopted pretty girl with Funny Face. She had stones in her bladder, lots of kidney issues and suddenly she started hiding on a Monday. Took her to the vet, diagnosed with Feline leukemia and had her put down on Friday. She was in bad shape those few days, I slept on the floor with her. She was in agony and don’t know how we didn’t know. Funny Face (said goodbye 03/28/19)
and Dolly live or did live at the vet. You live and learn, right? I once left our kitty, many years ago, when me and my daughter moved, just left her :arghh::arghh: Sorry Katherine, didn’t mean to write a book. I just made a lot of horrible mistakes. Don’t know how I did those things but I did.
I hope Ruby-doo is eating and pooping. Just got home so haven’t checked her SS. Prayers and hugs and hopes you don’t think I am still that person. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:I adore my Dolly girl and she would go to the vet even if I didn’t.

Dolly sniff ‘s her food and walks away. Two bowls out, two different foods, three out earlier with three different foods, running out of lids. Her sinuses are always a problem so don’t know what’s different today. Bought her some fish, she doesn’t eat fish but thought I would try later, maybe she will smell that. I just don’t want her to drop any lower. :banghead::banghead: So frustrating. Talking to myself. I don’t think nausea is the problem anymore but who knows, Dolly won’t tell me.

Dolly, eat your fuds! Do you ever put warm water in her food? It might help her to smell it better?

She doesn’t like soupy food but I have warmed it in the microwave. She was acting stoned from her pain meds. Rolling all over back and forth, so cute. I had to get under the table and rub her ears. Shot, no food. Played and ran with her foil toys for the first time in months, pain meds really worked. FINALLY, she ate. :joyful: Thanks for checking Katherine. I hope Ruby is doing okay, eating and pooping. Have a good sleep, Ruby and Olive too. I pray Olive does not have lymphoma. Sending loving prayers to all. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I love this Dolly report! So glad she perked up and played. Modern medicine for animals is simply amazing. Ruby did give me a nice big poop today and is eating well after her acupuncture. We even got a green this evening. Have a good rest tonight, Adrienne. See you in the morning. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh no, Adrienne. I didn't realize that Dolly is not eating. That is terrible. I am worried now, too. I hate it when they won't eat. I'm so sorry. I totally understand (Darcy isn't eating at all anymore, but I keep hoping that he will again some day.)

Dolly will be fine but it doesn’t sound like Darcy is okay at all. It’s sounds so scary Suzanne. He must be home, please tell me what’s going on. Does he still have the bowel blockage? Have you tried Mirtazapine? Some day? I don’t know what to say to that but I am so sorry it has become so serious. I am here for you. :bighug::bighug:

I have tried Mirtazapine and it doesn't seem to help. Yes, he's still not "unconstipated" we are trying everything.

@Diane Tyler's Mom Hi Diane. Just want to make sure we are okay. Too much stress, too little sleep. The whole Pamela terrible situation. Just wanted to send prayers and hugs to you, Ashley and Tyler. Hope you had a good day. Hope Ashley is as well as can be expected. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Just wanted to tell you Dolly is still playing. I haven’t seen her feeling this well in a very long time. Hope you are getting some well deserved sleep. Prayers to all. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

@Bandit's Mom sent you a pm

@tiffmaxee Hi Elise. Do you think I need to keep testing her tonight. She is playing for the time in months, seems to be feeling really good but eating very poorly. Just gave her tsp of 12%. She’s been in and out of the 50’s all day. Happy happy not hungry cat. Need suggestions. Thanks

She's happy in normal numbers. The MC should bring her up this late in the cycle and she has been flat. I think you can call it a night. Leave food out in case she wants some.

Her numbers are looking relly great! :-)

Thanks Bhooma. I am so tired. Have a lovely day, hugs and sloppy kisses to Bandit and Budge. :bighug::kiss::bighug::kiss: Dolly really feeling good today even if not eating. She played, what a glorious sound. :)

Yes. He gets cyproheptadine every day twice a day. The only thing it seems to do is make him meow more. Today he ate two pieces of Pure Bites freeze dried chicken.
In my prayers Suzanne. Vet again today? I don’t think he will want to eat until that blockage is resolved. We wouldn’t either. :bighug::bighug:
