Spitballing/thinking out loud incase anyone wants to give me their opinion:
I thiiiiink I may be on the cusp of returning to work soon, as my local government slowly opens things up (this new Delta variant not withstanding

)
My job is open 8am to 6pm in the summer, and 8am to 5pm in the winter.
I (blessedly) live only a couple minutes drive to work, and work allots us a 15 minute break before lunch, an hour lunch break, and another 15 minute break after lunch.
So: hair brained scheme - change shot times to 4:30 am/pm or so.
Allows me to shoot her in the morning and hang out for a few hours, grab a +2, and maybe nudge her up if need be. And then maybe come home and check at morning break time and lunch time.
Then I utilize my afternoon break time to come back at 4:30 pm and shoot her. That way shes hitting +2 as I get off work, and I catch her if nadir looks like it might hit too hard.
Thing is, if I go that route, I only get 15 minutes to drive home, check bg, feed and shoot, then drive back, so I have to make it as streamlined as possible.
Would it be ok to pre-load a needle with insulin for her PM shot around noon? And it can just hang in the fridge until I can grab it at 4:30pm?
There's also the fact that my job will occasionally demand I go on overnight travels - I live with my sister and mother and while theoretically they could test/feed/shoot/retest, I dont know that I could rely on them to keep a good schedule about it/test reliably (My sister has her own crazy work schedule to contend with, and my mother has memory problems) Considering Olivia's on such a low dose/her numbers arent atrocious OTJ, maybe I can just ask that they feed her, and not bother them about giving insulin?
(I don't think my away trips will go longer than 3 nights, and not even sure when the trips will even happen anyway, pandemic et al)
Ideas?
