This morning is a bit unsettling because both cats threw up.
Toeby threw up a tiny piece of dark greenery, which may have been something we tracked in on our shoes (which get taken off at the back door).
We had just decided that was no big deal when his brother threw up after breakfast.
Nothing but cat food and bile.
So.... that's quite unusual and a bit worrisome.
I'm wracking my brain, but nothing is different in food, environment, temperatures, nothing.
Oh well... I guess we will wait and see and hope that it's a one-off.
I did brush them both the other night - I am hoping it might be some loose fur rolling around in their tummies.

Let's see what the day brings.

Both of your boys started losing their appetites two days ago. Have you sprayed anything in the house/yard recently? Used any aerosols? Even fabric softeners (liquid/sheets) can make kitties sick. Does Toeby chew on plastic plants? Can't remember if we talked about this or if it was someone else. Susie will chew on plastic plants and then throw up. Strange that both of them are throwing up.

Nice AMPS this morning. Looks like Toeby is going to see another blue/green day. Susie had a 189 at AMPS so I am hoping she will at least see some more blues.

Morning Summer,
Both boys had little appetite in the morning yesterday, but much better last night, and were 2 tails up hungry this morning.
No to spraying or aerosols; and I don't use fabric softener at all (I use lambswool balls in the dryer)
No plastic plants in the house, and all house plants are up out of his reach.
The best thing we can figure for his brother barfing is the brushing I gave them, and for Toeby, that little bit of dark green matter, that looked like perhaps we tracked in a leaf on a shoe.
But it was unusual, and we are keeping an eye on them.
Thanks for your suggestions.
They both are acting fine today, although his brother is very clingy to me which is sometimes a sign he feels crappy - unlike Toeby, he is a cuddly guy who asks to be picked up and hugged.

I am hoping for another good day for Toeby with his +2 of 121.

Funny how a brushing would make a cat sick. I have never heard of that. Good for you with that 121. Looks like I might get a green in about 10 minutes.

Brushing loosens up fur, and what doesn't go into the brush sometimes ends up in the gut and comes back up as a furball.
You'll just have to trust me on that observation...LOL.
These two are 16 +/- and I've experienced that phenomena many times. :)

I gave his bro a little stomach medication and will see how he goes.
They are both looking fine at this moment.
Sometimes in life, barf just happens.
Sometimes it means something dire, but sometimes, like that other bodily function, "It" happens.

I hope you see green for Susie.

He is dropping fairly quickly but smoothly tonight...
Gave him Wellness Chicken & Lobster pate which is 11% carbs at +3 test - I hope he doesn't go into the lime greens in the next couple hours.
I will be checking.

He drank quite a bit of water tonight - not sure what that means, if anything.

What a great numbers day Toeby’s had! Hope he stays like this for you, Laura, and the barfing stops for both kitties. Mine decide they want to do it in unison as well sometimes. Have a good rest. :bighug:

Thanks, Katherine!
I was surprised by his good numbers yesterday, but pleasantly surprised.
He's starting off today with a blue number, and currently running around with "The Vapours" after breakfast and hitting the box, so that's nice to see!
No barf from either so far today.
I was happy to read Ruby is doing well on the prednisolone - fingers crossed for you.

Laura, start a new thread for today (6/18) with the above information. I'm looking forward to watching Toeby today.

I'm so glad Toeby's off to another great start today and being a goofy kitty! That's wonderful.

I'm trying hard with Ruby to stay ahead of the effects of the pred with the insulin. She's eating without any help from anti-nausea meds, hasn't puked, and is jumping around like she hasn't in years, so I'm thrilled. Thanks for visiting us!
