How long to keep on drop shot?

Hi there,

Can I get someone to take a look at Charlie's chart and help me with next steps? He is on a drop shot and seeing numbers in the greens and blues, anywhere from 86-115 typically, with a couple outliers. The vet last said I could take him off insulin if I wanted, as she doesn't even prescribe less than .25 unit. However, per this group, we wanted to try an OJT and then put him back on the drop shot. How long do I keep him on a drop shot? At what point is the poking and sticking and strict schedule not worth it anymore?

Hi Emma, since you are using Lantus, you will get more eyes of experienced Lantus user on your thread if you post in the Lantus forum.

Any chance you can get a mid cycle test for us to see how low he's going on this dose?
