Thanks for the warning, Katherine. I am preparing for some lower numbers anytime now. She was still pretty high at AMPS today so it may be another day before I see any improvement.

Seems Kali's bark collar is working but it breaks my heart to see that she is getting little shocks and doesn't understand what is going on. She does stop barking though and if this can be a temporary (or used infrequently) training tool to stop the barking, and I can keep her, it will be worth the concern. She is a very smart dog so I think she will learn quickly.

@Emily + Zen So sorry to hear about all that you went through with Zen earlier this year. So happy with how everything turned out!!!!

I hope the collar works I told you my neighbor downstairs had to use one or else be evicted It took a little bit and he also told me it frightened his dog the first few times But It worked and she does not have to wear it any more:):bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh, I am sorry about poor Kali having to go through this. As you said, if you can keep her, it will be worth it and hopefully she will not bark so much. I doubt if anybody will understand her like you do.

I hope Susie will have a good, safe day.

Thanks, Suzanne. I'll go to your post to get an update on Darcy.

Very frustrated. This dose was supposed to help but it looks like it is making things worse. Last time she was on 2 units she was doing much better at this point than she is now. Also, it almost looks like her onset and her nadir are occurring at the same time. How can that be?

It can be frustrating when a dose doesn't work. Believe me I know I am hoping Molly will have good numbers lunch time. I hope Kali gets more use to the bark collar.

My guess is she hasn't shaken the glucose toxicity, too many yellows still. And remember it's a hormone, no dose will work the same way twice!

She needs more insulin. But, since your following SLGS, you have to wait.
No, if I don't have a better day with her tomorrow I am going to switch to TR. Just confused with how low she went not too long ago on the 2 units and now she is worse than she was before. Thanks for taking the time to address my concern, Sienne. I appreciate the support.

But she was not this high for a long time. I still don't understand with this increase.
She had a lot of mid to high yellows, then it looks like you broke through a little bit, and they came back.

Please don't take this as me pushing you to TR, just a neutral observation. This is why I stuck with TR for Mr Kitty. Being able to increase more quickly when I saw a dose just wasn't working. I think SLGS is working against you here, having to hold the dose while she was in higher numbers.

That said, I know it's a balancing act because she sometimes takes a few days to react to a dose. So fingers crossed for tomorrow!
