Thank you! He actually seems MUCH better, I was just thinking I should do an update post :-)

he is loving the disposable lasagna pan for walk-thru litter box usage and is using the senior ones. No more carpet messes - yay! And he’s back to jumping on the bed etc again. I think maybe his UTI from April never fully resolved and that’s what was causing his walking issues - not neuropathy or CKD weakness. I’ll discuss pain meds with the vet but at this point I don’t think he needs them daily - plus I don’t want to risk masking any pain from future issues. I just had an epiphany that I had noticed him walking with his tail down before all of this started, I didn’t connect the dots until I noticed this weekend that his tail was up high again and he’s acting more like himself and more alert and interactive than he has in a while. So I’m not sure if it’s the 3 doses of metacam (his second 2 were half doses) or the UTI clearing up but I’m very happy with what I’m seeing. Thanks for asking!

That is fantastic. Hold that tail up high, Snuggie! I love it. A proud cat! A happy cat! This is so great to hear... and much easier on you now as well without the messes. Poor guy. Glad you got him the help he needed.
 
@Suzanne & Darcy @Summer and Susie thank you both! Yes I just hope he doesn’t bounce today too high but I’m very happy today LOL!

So glad I could come here and dump all my anxiety, hopefully I can be done with that too for a while :-)
