Yesterday

Tiger is feeling pretty good this morning! Unfortunately I have to mess with that...hoping for the greater long term good
Gave him an increase to 3.25=4.06mm.

My Pitsburgh calipers will not stay exactly at the number I set-it keeps backing off even if I set it higher!!! Not happy with that if the whole point is increased accuracy! Guess I will have to return them and find another kind

And need to administer flea spot-on...

It doesn't have a screw at the top of the display to lock the arms? Is this the one you got? Maybe a faulty piece?

yep that is the one.
Must be faulty if yours doesn't do that...

Yeah, it's supposed to lock the arms. I have a different model that we get here in India.

Guess I'll order a different one and see what happens. Return this one...hopefully it won't mess with his dose too much!

I've had three different sets of calipers because they did the same thing. Would not lock, or the numbers would go haywire and not show the measurement accurately. I would have to set it to zero again to reset. Thanks, Kathy. She will. We only need to get over this hump.

BTW, "Tiger" is Ruby's nickname. When she's feeling good, she has a very similar walk to a tiger in the wild--regal and confident. Love that name for a kitty.
