please advise. my fur baby Dusty is overdue his shot but is low. have stalled once, will recheck. flowsheet is filled out

No shot tonight. You don't have a dosing method listed but he went under 90 today so you need to reduce by 0.25U. You also a missed a reduction on the 28th, so I would go down to 1U as your new dose to be safe. Please be sure to monitor ketones the next few days, we don't usually decrease by 0.5U but he went too low for comfort on the 28th.

In the morning no shot unless he's above 200.

I fixed the most important ones. Not going to do the ones back in January since that's old news anyway.

Becky, depending on the dosing method you use (Tight Regulation or Start Low, Go Slow) there are points where you reduce the dose.

When Dusty dropped below 5 (for SLGS) on the 25th, he should have been reduced to 1.25 then.

Today, he dropped below 5 again, so while it may be too much, we're suggesting you go ahead and take another reduction of .25 which would mean your new dose would be 1.0 unit.

We can go back up if the 1U dose isn't enough but it's safer for Dusty to go ahead and reduce starting at tomorrow morning's shot time.

*small note, the spreadsheet says ProZinc. In the case of ProZinc it's Start Low Go Slow (SLGS) or Modified ProZinc Method (MPM). They are covered in this post

You haven't been testing quite enough to meet the requirements of MPM, which is why I went with the SLGS threshold for dose reductions.

I hear you! The FB group gets busy (and apparently rowdy some days ) I can't keep up with both!

We've had a couple of new users with recent hypos, going to guess they came from the group. It's a good thing they're coming here!
