Hi Laura, it is recommended to NOT give a dose of insulin if the BG is under 50. Did you try stalling first to see if he came up at all.
Please test closely during this cycle. You may need to give some higher carb food to bring up the BG to a safe range for when the insulin kicks in.
At the moment you have no margin for safety.
If he is under 50 again, please skip the dose. Bron

Hi Bron,
I've done it in the past because Grem has a tendency to go straight up when he's low in the AM. As he is doing today. I gave him HC food with breakfast to being him up a little faster too.
Perhaps I need to note to people to NOT follow my dosing.

I do feed him two hours before his PM shot and he's still lower then than the rest of the time. I can't get up through the night, I'm already struggling enough with fatigue. My health is currently up the creek.

Sorry I didn't update sooner! It's been a day already and it's only 1pm. We're also going into snap lockdown again for a week so trying to wrap my head around that too. I'm on the edge of meltdown today.

Yes I would put do not follow Gremlins dosing.
I would still caution you about shooting under 50.

Hi, Laura. I have been thinking about you and Gremlin... wondering how you are doing. Are you okay? I hope Grem is as well. I see he is just on a skinny 1 unit dose. Well... I just wanted you to know that I have missed your posts.
