[Butters & Lyla]

Butters started sounding congested on Saturday, she wouldn't stop pawing at her mouth, her lower lip became swollen and she was having trouble eating. Her RR went high and she was breathing shallow for a while. I started her on pain meds and I stopped cisapride. She is able to eat okay with the pain meds on board. She is drooling more than normal, though.

I reached out to her vet's office. Her specific vet only works Wednesday - Friday every week. I am taking her for an appointment tomorrow. He is squeezing her in first thing before his scheduled appointments start for the day.

I just saw some of you commented on her last condo, which was Friday. Between being embroiled in Butters's issues and my own stuff, I didn't realize how much time had passed. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts. You are wonderful people.

Oh no! I am so sorry to read this. I'm worried. Do you think it is just a bad tooth? I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I will be taking Darcy to the vet tomorrow at 11:30. Who knows, we may be at the vet at the same time (accounting for time differences) or you may be finished about the time we arrive.

Poor Butters. I hope the vet has an answer with a simple treatment. At least now there is an explanation for those odd blues.
