5/11 Fred AMPS 426 had increased to 7.5u

Hmm. I must say I don't really see anything out of the ordinary, he's just kind of all over. Do you by chance feed the curve? I'd consider feeding more in the +1 to +3 range to slow his drops in the hopes he doesn't bounce.

I haven't been around for a week or so, but you may benefit more from TR if you're comfortable;; you certainly test enough for it. I just think he would benefit from quicker increases, but it's all about your comfort level.

How frustrating! I can't add anything constructive but big sympathies.

Any more thoughts on a switch to Levemir? I can't honestly say I saw any difference switching Minnie from Lantus (other than the vet dropping us back from 4u Lantus to start at 0.5u Levemir resulting in a DKA in a week...but that shouldn't be a worry for you, doesn't look like anyone is as ketone-friendly as Minnie).

I hope Fred keeps well and eating. :bighug:

@FrostD I do usually feed him small amounts around +2 each cycle....and then around +6 and +9. But he just continues to bounce. :banghead: Fred does eat a little dry, so I can't do TR. I think I'd be scared to do it as well because I feel like he's always in a bounce. I never know what I'm dosing...a bounce or the "real number".

Any more thoughts on a switch to Levemir?
I am really thinking hard about it. I have a televisit with an IM specialist from AMC in NYC on June 10th. I'm really hoping she can give me some insight. I have a fear that it will just result in her sending me for a battery of tests, pretty much all of which he's already had! But did you notice any change in Minnie's personality from the switch? I hate what the Lantus does to Fred. It completely dopes him down, and he's just not the same. He was such a happy cat. I see the "real Fred" start to emerge as we get right to shot time and the insulin is wearing off. But then I have to drill him back down again. :( Thank you for all your sympathies!

Likely New Dose Wonkiness. It will pass.
Oh boy, I hope so. He had a fast 150 drop last night, which caused ANOTHER bounce. It's maddening. :banghead::banghead:
