Yesterday on Ruby and the Mystery of the Missing Kibble. ;)

It looks like turkey thighs with Alnutrin is a hit. :woot: That has some fresh liver in it (5%) so I hope it helps things in the BM department. Ruby wasn’t a very active cat yesterday, which makes me wonder if the weather affects her joints. We’ll see if she does some zoomies today with the bright sunny weather. :cat:

Healing thoughts for all of the sick kitties. Happy Thursday. :bighug::bighug:

Ruby just threw up for the second time in two days. She’s been meowing at me a lot this morning and checking her feeder for more food. Yesterday I attributed it to the freeze dried duck liver treat I gave her. Today maybe it’s the food I made with Alnutrin?

Hmmmm. Whenever I introduce something new to butters I do it very slowly otherwise it causes her tummy to be upset. This is common for cats. Did you introduce the Alnutrin slowly over time or switch quickly? Just a thought for your consideration.
Hopefully it's just a coincidence. Any chance it was just a furball?
Sending healing vines to Ruby.

ETA: same goes for new meats. IDK if it's the first time she is getting raw turkey or not. But if so, that could also be a contributing factor.

You might be right. I did give her some slowly last week mixed in with EZ food, but this morning I did not. You only need 6 grams of Alnutrin for every pound of meat (you need 26.7g of EZC) so I figured it would be simpler to digest, but maybe the fresh liver is a little hard for her. I gave her another ounce of the Alnutrin turkey a little while ago and so far she's holding it down but she's meatloafing. :(

I've never had trouble transitioning Ruby easily from one protein to another, and it's definitely not the first time she's had turkey. It's one of her favorites. She's even had it from different purveyors. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So far she's kept the second meal down, so fingers crossed it was an isolated episode of sour tummy.

Hi Adrienne! Ruby hasn't had stomach issues in a while since she started on raw food, so consecutive vomits do get me concerned. Hopefully it passes. I'm doing ok. :bighug:
