Vet appt tomorrow, requesting change to Levemir

I used the Petsafe 5 primarily. I started out with the QPet 5 space feeder, but it was a poor design that allowed paws to get into the next spot and that was not a good scene with the civvie did that just before the top turned. :mad:
 
@Wendy&Neko we've been at 5 u for a few days now and things are looking pretty status quo. I haven't been able to get as many tests in this week due to life happening and i've been under the weather, but curious if it's time to bump to 5.5? Levemir shipped on Wednesday and I'm hoping it'll be here by Monday.

I should add that he is not peeing the gigantic puddles and he goes less frequently. Would this be an indication that maybe we are getting closer to a good dose?

It's great to see that yellow a few nights ago! Just goes to prove Snuggle is probably one of those cats that likes to go lower at night and those before bed tests are important for him. Not peeing as much might also mean he's spending more time in lower numbers, and that's a good thing.

And yes on the 5.5 units.

How would you feel about posting on the Lantus/Basaglar/Levemir forum once you are ready to start the Levemir? That'll give you more eyes at the time of the change.

Thank you! Just saw all this just now so we will bump to 5.5 ProZinc this eve. He had another low night last night but is back up to his usual tricks this morning - LOL! I'll be more diligent now with the evening post-injection tests now with another dose increase and ESPECIALLY switching insulins.

And yes I will be happy to start a thread on the other forum - Wendy that will give you a break from being my sole advisor LOL!! I picked up the needles (Thanks Chris for the pic and rec to go to Walmart!) and have printed out the dosing sheet so will start my homework this weekend.

I'm feeling quite a bit less overwhelmed especially as I see him acting better. Thanks so much for the help and support here - i truly appreciate it!

The levemir was just delivered!!! (Saturday 5/8). Sooo where should i start?

EDIT: We are going to wait til tomorrow morning or Monday morning to start Levemir. We don't want to do this at night *just in case* there's an issue, and we might not be home tomorrow afternoon to keep an eye on him.
