Had to feed her 21% all night again. Awake from +4 to +6.. I think? I can't even remember. One thing I learned was, when I get really tired I apparently drool :oops:
She didn't like Sheba 11%, miamor drinks with honey, fraische with honey...
I'm back to 21/4... this takes way too much effort to keep her surfing
When she will get more settled in this dose she will start being more predictable and you will know better how much effort it takes to keep her up and maybe (only maybe) you won't have to stay up all the night.

I think she is settled..
I reduced last time to avoid this, now it's starting all over again :woot:

And I thought it was hard back then... :woot::eek:
But you're right, she's looking so good. I bought Temptations today, glucose syrup and ice cream.. I'm ready if she wanna play! Just not tonight :p
I know the ice cream is for her, but I would really consider sharing it. Good luck, hope you get a good 4-5h sleep all in one block sometime today.

Bless you for your patience and perseverance (and lack of sleep) getting your girl down to the numbers she is in. You are much braver than I am.

If you want her off the juice she needs to go thru this :p there is unfortunately no other way... or if you find it please share it :D:D:D
I know you're right, but I'm still hoping on a miracle :D you'll be the first to know it, if I find it! :p

Of course we'll share! I don't throw out food! Or rarely. :D:D:D:D
I'm so excited to see if it's working!

I'm fortunate regarding sleep. I'm on ADHD medication, keeps me awake. I haven't been sitting down today, I've been shopping, making flowerbeds, moving soil, been to dinner at my moms, repackaged some raw foods, cleaned a bit :D but my body is done, now I need that sleep. The downside is, I can't nap during the day because of the meds...
I'm only thinking of the goal.. I want to give her a real shot of getting off the juice, that just means making an effort. And it scares the &#^@* out of me, and I hate that I'm missing out on things, but I really really love that cat :bighug:
And as Elise said, the greens become addictive. I still don't like shooting green, but the blues doesn't bother me anymore, so hopefully one day the greens will follow :D

By the way, I didn't mean to imply that you don't love Susie. We all love those kitties to the moon and back, otherwise we wouldn't do this. I just can't imagine a life without her. But if my mission doesn't succeed in the near future, I'm not continuing TR. But I think she's shown amazing progress since she started on Lev, so I still think and hope there's a chance.

If there's one thing in all this, I could do all over again, I would have come here sooner. I wasted a huge opportunity the first time on Lev, by thinking I had it all under control. I didn't, my vet didn't...
Statistically she went from 64% chance of going OTJ, to 35% because I wasted time. I read that somewhere... so that's why I'm giving it all I've got.

But I would like to say, I'm tempted to plan a skip and sleep - like pass out for 12 hours :D
I'm even thinking of wishing a night off, as a birthday present :woot: someone else could do the watch and I could sleep :p:smuggrin:

Oh well... I need to do some sleeping. She's loaded on food, I'm skipping the +1. It fooled me last night, so today is a +3!
You all have a great night, or day depending on where you are in the big world :bighug:

It's tough business no doubt! I always recall @Sarah and Blaze - Blaze would save his best surfing for when Sarah got home from work - and she would be exhausted and would have to be up way into the night with Mr. Super Green Night-time diver...but guess what? Now she's sleeping thru the night as Blaze is in remission...ah, the hallowed ground of remission. Just think of that next time you're up too late...let's hope you can get him there with all your efforts! You're doing a terrific job! We're all rooting for you :)

Didn't Wendy say in a previous thread, from about a week ago, that if you have to keep feeding high carb to keep the numbers up, than a dose reduction is in order? At least, my frazzled brain thought I had read that in Mauer's condo/thread/post recently.

I thought you should only need to keep feeding the regular low carb food, to keep a cat surfing during the cycle.

Did she? Or maybe I suggested taking reductions based on that, instead of three drops. We were both surprised the reduction held..
@Wendy&Neko can you clarify?

What a wonderful spreadsheet Blaze has!
I've actually considered sleeping during the daytime instead so I'll be awake when she wants to play...

When you have trouble getting them above 50 it’s time to try a reduction. If you can keep this up I would not reduce. You are seeing nice flat cycles. See what Wendy thinks too though.

That's the thing, I'm trying my best to not let her drop that far, because she's difficult getting back up.
She really loves Temptations....

And I even tried something new today.
She doesn't seek food, so I put the food down where she is. And she has eaten a lot more than usual.

Lol Liz :D:D:D:D:D
We made it without it today.
Maybe next time :cool::p
Well I think I might have some anyway. I'm convinced that having a diabetic cat is going to drive me diabetic myself with all these poor stress-induced food choices :p

you really don't seem to ever sleep! Hope you get some zzz's in...

49 +5... today of all days..
I'm ready if she wanna play! Just not tonight
You had to know that was gonna happen. :cat::eek:

Looks like Temptations are a good boost for Mauer.

What Elise said. If they are hard to keep up over 50 in spite of HC, or you are fighting for hours with HC to keep them from dropping below the 50's, consider a reduction. Looks like she popped up to 50's and stayed there tonight. If they are surfing higher greens with HC, that's not the time to reduce.

I had that feeling, you know... and stupidly enough I couldn't sleep when I had the chance :banghead:
So the Temptations worked like they were supposed to, so I didn't have to fight as hard to keep her above 50. And therefore I shouldn't reduce, but if they hadn't I could?:D
Just making sure I understand.
Am I doing it right, by preventing her from dropping? Keeping the dose as long as possible?
I feel better not reducing, now I know I CAN keep her up  she likes the Temptations and they work!

Well, I ate Pringles and some KitKat chocolate :oops: so you're definitely right! Poor food choices!

It doesn't feel like I sleep ever
