Sorry me again, I've been reading and reading, but a bit uncertain.

Today Brian had had almost 2 cans of ff 20% carb, plus his regular LC ff. I'm a bit concerned that the number I shot this morning was influenced by the HC, and the number I'm going to shoot tonight will be influenced by HC.

I know the depot for 3iu is still draining. And I'm meant to hold 2.75iu another two cycles. But I'm a bit worried about shooting and having these drops still as I'm already using HC to keep him safe.

Should I only be feeding him HC (he is over fed at this stage), or keep going with the LC and just watching

If you fed him HC at +8 last night and not after, I think it's safe to assume that the AMPS was not HC/food influenced. Similarly for tonight.

It does look like you are fighting against an overfull depot. Like @tiffmaxee suggested, switch to LC (no food after +10) and if that doesn't keep him up, maybe a skip tonight will help drain that depot.

Skip the shot tonight. He has no history of ketones or DKA, right?
Not that I'm aware of but I'd have to check with the vet, they didn't mention it to me when they first diagnosed him and checked his urine.

If he starts to rise into the pinks in the night could I just change his shot time to earlier? Or would I still need to stick to schedule?

A skip is a good time to adjust your shot timing if you want to move it forward or later. If you don't, you just shoot at your normal time tomorrow.

Since you are skipping, you can go easy on the HC and see if he can stay in safe numbers with just LC.

Ok thank you so much for the guidance. I'll keep monitoring him as usual over night and see what he does. Might be good to see where his shot usually wears off/kicks in too (if this will show it). Thank you!

Yes. Even though you skipped the depot will influence the first part of the cycle. But hopefully you should be able to get some sleep after +4 or +5. :-)
