Still stuck in the pinks; 0.75 U of R last night didn't do a thing. Bumping that up to 1 U this morning. I'm running through a checklist of things that could be causing this... the Lantus doesn't look like it's gone bad, no fur shots, no contraband, recent dental cleaning, no obvious signs of infection or anything. Looks like it's just the insulin resistance ramping up again. So we'll probably be heading up the Lantus dosing scale again, too.

Down 55 points at R+4, but then about level with that at midcycle. Another 1 U of R... if that doesn't do much I'll probably give it one more shot at that dose tonight, then bump up again tomorrow.

Good luck...I hope the R is helpful!

And I must learn to be brave like you, shooting the full dose even at lower numbers. I didn't last night, and I blew it. :(

No worries, you'll get there. As you get more comfortable with the numbers and how your cat responds, you'll feel more confident about shooting low numbers. I've had some times when I gave lower doses or skipped and then wished I hadn't, but it was the right choice at the time.

Down nearly 100 points at +4, and this is the lowest he's been in several days. I'll stay up a bit longer to see where he's heading from here.

Good luck. Oberon is giving you some of this lately :banghead: but hopefully he is smiling :cat:. I've been meaning to ask about his name. Do you also have a Titania or a Puck??

Puck and Ariel. We got Ariel when the kid was going through a Disney Princess phase. When we added Puck a couple of weeks later (littermates, but it took a little longer to catch him), we decided to run with the Shakespeare/moons of Uranus theme. Then we added King Oberon about a year later. The previous trio were Pandora, Selene, and Orpheus. The kitten is Freya so it looks like we're going with that theme for the next round.

OK, he's only down a little at +5 (but blue!)... I think I can go to bed. DH will get his usual +8 check.

I was going to ask about the names as well, and if you had any connection to New Jersey Shakespeare Theatre! I had my Phoebe, which I did pull out of my Shakespeare anthology. ("As You Like It")

Yay for blue! Hope you had a good night.
