Animal hospital called last night and said they were discharging Kali. I had to laugh. I knew she was back to her old self if they wanted to release her 12 hours early. She was probably driving them crazy. She is fine. Still drags me through the backyard, on a leash, at 5:45 in the morning. Thanks for everyone's concern for "Legs". She is the worst dog I have ever owned but I am in love with her.

Susie did well after the Brevesto application. It will be interesting to see if it helps her fur grow back or does nothing. She is still eating well and we had a good blue number this morning at AMPS. She just got a 110 at 2.25. Yeaaaaaaa!

Happy Easter to everyone!! Hope all have a peaceful, safe and happy day. Kitties too!

So glad to hear Kali is doing better :bighug:

sample packet of EZ Comfort
You can request a sample packet by following the instructions here - https://www.foodfurlife.com/samples.html#/

And if you decide to make the switch - or even if you don't - a baby scale is a great investment. Just like humans, cats may need more or less calories than the guidelines and the baby scale helps you figure out if you are feeding too much or too little. Salter baby scale is recommended a lot on here - I personally have the Beurer one since it had a flat base (and lower price point helps too).

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter :cat:

Thanks for the link to get the sample. I actually have a baby scale. It is also a Beurer. Are you recommending it for weighing Susie (I assume)? I do try to do that from time to time. Vet said she needs to lose weight ,which I agree with, but he wants her down to 10 lbs and I think that is too much. She is currently at 13.8 lbs. She was as 15.2 lbs in December and 16.9 in March of 2020 so we are making progress. Frankly, I would be happy if she were 12 lbs but I don't really know how to determine what her weight should be. How do you know what the perfect weight should be for your cat? She is not a big cat but nor is she small. Her BG was down to 110 at 2.25 this morning. That is the lowest she has been since 2/9 when she was on Vetsulin. I'm so glad she is coming down. Take care, Susanne. I think about you and your Jax often.

That's great you have a scale! Yes, to weigh Susie :cat: If she needs to lose weight, Dr. Pierson has a great site for ideas - https://catinfo.org/feline-obesity-an-epidemic-of-fat-cats/ -weight needs to come off slowly but sounds like you may know that.

As for what a cat "should" weigh, I am no expert. I personally think it's very subjective. That link above has some tips for evaluating weight (and there are others on the internet). My personal unofficial answer is "how good you think you cat looks" paired with if they seem hungry or not. It's not an exact science but let her appearance be your guide.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts for Jax :cat: he was a special kitty to me ❤️

Once, again, thank you for the link. Susie just got her first visit to the lagoon in a really long time and she actually came into the kitchen a short while ago which is very unusual for her this time of the day. She spends 90% of her time in my bedroom. I can tell she is feeling good but hungry. Thank you, again.

Congratulations to Susie for visiting the lagoon!! I am happy she is feeling good :)

Thank you, Marina. She heard stories of "Jaws" and decided to get out and head back to the beach!
Nice surfing today. I'm so glad Kali is back home and feeling better. Happy Easter!
It was a special day for us today, Carla. Kali is home and Susie is doing so well. Do you think she will bounce tomorrow from these low numbers?
