He's very happy and playing again! I can always tell when he gets close to 200 because he becomes lively and wants to play. He dives under his cushions, too. This makes me happy!

Thinking about @Liz & Minnie today!

Oh, he won't be happy later because he goes to the vet to recheck CBC and have a cardiac ultrasound. :-( It's just a baseline ultrasound to see where we are. I usually count about 28-30 bpm on him when he's resting. I know it's not supposed to go over 30. It makes me uncomfortable that he's frequently in this range.

Hey @Liz & Minnie how about this song... it just popped into my head after I read took my latest meter reading ... (my poor cat, I am soooo obsessed with checking his glucose).

Blue morning, blue day, won't you see things my way?
Blue morning, can't you see... what your love has done to me?

Foreigner (that is a blast from the long past). Darcy wants to sing this song with Minnie at Karaoke at the next full moon party! That's if she's feeling in a rockin' mood. He said she needs to get better so they can do a duet. He thinks she's soooo pretty!

Here's a favorite and more cheerful song: (love watching Bing Crosby sing this to Joan Caulfield in the movie Blue Skies).

Blue Skies Smiling at me,
Nothing but blue skies do I see.
Blue Birds, singing a song,
Nothing but blue birds, all day long.

We are wishing Minnie nothing but blue skies today!

Glad he is being playful! Maybe a wee bit too much R today? Good luck with the vetty visit, sending positive vetty vines.
Yes. Maybe too much R, but some days I give the same amount of R and he doesn't seem to respond at all. I'm playing around with it. By +4 the R is gone and the Lev is taking over with the already lowered numbers. Maybe he'll bounce, we'll see.

I can imagine, I have a hard enough time determining what to do with only one insulin! Maybe not, and if there is one, let's hope it is just a bouncette :)
How's Mav doing? (I hope you don't mind me calling him that... I had a georgeous grey boy named Maverick that I lost in 2018 and I still miss that guy... he was a wild one... but loved me!)

What caused that nice string of greens a couple of days ago?

Suzanne, that's very kind of you to ask, and I don't mind at all if do call him Mav. Sounds like you also have discovered sometimes the name suits the cat :).

Occasionally I can get some good carryover with Lev, so it can happen that he stays flat through the early part of the next cycle before onset, without much of a food bump. He's feeling a bit off today (he is too high) probably because I second-guessed myself on increasing this morning, but I tend to linger a little longer before increasing, more than I should per TR , on doses after numbers in the 30s, particularly when I don't see them coming.

Oh yikes. I could never handle numbers in the 30s. I don't think we'll ever get there though, so it's probably okay.

Hello blue:cool:! I love seeing these numbers and hearing that he is lively. Such a good report.

sending lots of vetty vines to him. Let us know how things go:bighug:.

Paws crossed for the echo today. :bighug::bighug:

Looks like Darcy is getting over bounces fairly quickly. If he is dropping on the 4th cycle after previous blues, then I'd use that knowledge to ease the R dose on that cycle.

Do you mean like tomorrow? Not so much R? He's doing well tonight. I like being able to keep him in the blue numbers. I just got two pretty flat blue hours. I'm going to bed now. I think he'll be okay... will stay flat and then slowly rise. I am not used to going to bed with a blue number though...
