Whew this is all happening very quickly.
It is currently 1am here, PM +7
Her +6 which is also the nadir was 2.6 (46.8) which I understand to be the act level so went into action and she is now sitting at 4.8 (86.4), I'll be up for a while to make sure it doesn't drop back down too far. She's had a chicken gravy treat thing (it's like a go-gurt but for cats) and a handful of temptations crunchies. She also has her normal night snack food out but hasn't eaten any yet. Physically she seemed perfectly fine at 2.6.
I have not yet decided on whether to do TR or SLGS method because I'm mentally fried at the moment. But regardless, does a number like this mean I need to drop her dose? She is on 1U twice a day as per her chart.

Thank you

It is now 20mins past normal shoot time and reading 7.9 (142). AMPS was 8.3 (150), after a low of 2.6 (46.8) -6 ago. I was advised that she has already earned a 0.25U drop from 1U to 0.75U. no shot given yet.

EDIT: 45MIN past normal shoot time and still 7.9

Edit: 1 hour past shot time, have fed her, have skipped dose since it's already an hour past now. Reading is now 10.2 (183) but already eaten and an hour past schedule so have skipped AM dose.

You have been testing long enough to lower your no shot number. Sorry nobody was available to help you. It’s the weekend and the middle of the day for those of us on the west coast. I think you can safely shoot around 150 provided you will be able to monitor. Since you didn’t shoot it would give us some good information if you get a test 3-4 hours after she has eaten. The first time you shoot a number lower for you someone will guide you on when to test and feed. How does that sound?

Sounds great thank you so much for your advice

My shot times are 6am and 6pm AustralianEST. For reference 6am here was 3hrs 15min ago so I'm currently at +3.25

Hi Miri and Elisa @tiffmaxee
I can be around for the 6 pm shot but I’m sound asleep at 6 am sorry! actually I think you are 1 hour behind me Miri as you don’t do daylight saving in Qland do you?
atm it is 10.44 am here

Hi ☺️
Yep we don't do daylight saving so it's still only 10am here
Ok so your 6 pm would be my 7 pm so I will make sure I am around for that. Just tag me when needed.
We will need to find someone for the 6 am shot.
I think @Bandit's Mom would be asleep then too as she is in India but she is another one who can help with the 6pm one if I’m not around.
Do you have any ideas @tiffmaxee for the 6am shot which would be during the day in the US.

6am Miri time would be 5 ago ago in your time. So that should be 1pm in Los Angeles and 4 pm New York time .... I hope I’m correct
So I think you are correct Elise

Thank you so much everyone that really puts my mind at ease. Malki has had all blue numbers since last night so unless she creeps up in the next two hours I'll be popping in to ask for advice. Otherwise if she does creep up I'll do the new 0.75U dose as advised since she went really low last night (and probably would have dropped lower had I not stuffed her with treats as her monitor registered the reading as "dropping quickly")
I have all my fingers and toes (and malkis toe beans) crossed that there's no hypo tonight and I can get a wonderful 6hour sleep. Haha I feel like a new mum.

I'm going to set-up a new SS in our format for you. Could you please send me the google ID you want linked to the SS (Owner) via PM. Thanks :)
Oh my gosh thank you so much. I did try to use the one you guys made but it refused to work on my phone or computer, just crashed everything. Would I be able to add the graphs tab I made to it? I like to see the curve visually.
I will PM now

All the kind people who offered to be around for the PMPS in 45min. Malki has had a lil spike so will be getting her 0.75U, I seriously doubt she will drop down far enough in the next 45min for me to question it.
You are all fantastic and have taken away so much of my anxiety, it means a lot!

Had a big spike so gave her the 0.75U. Will be interesting to see where it goes from there. Spike could have been combo of no insulin and because we have lost power, a guest arrived, and there's a huge to-do going on outside.

I'm in the gold coast hinterland. Absolutely bucketing down all day, neighbours fence has fallen down, lots of flooding but at least the power has just come back on.

Sounds like here except we haven’t lost power so far.
They say it’s going to last for several more days and it’s a 1 in 100 year event.
I worry about all the poor animals that have not been taken to higher ground and are washed away.

Quite a drop at +2 despite the skipped morning shot! What is your feeding schedule like?

She eats a meal at just after AMPS and PMPS (a full can that I bring out as part of the insulin distraction otherwise I couldn't get her shot in) however she isn't absolutely ravenous anymore, her appetite is more like it was pre diabetes, so she eats maybe 1/3 and then comes back to eat the rest over the next couple hours. It takes her 3 hours roughly to finish a can.

She has food available at all times other than 2 hours before shots. She also eats chicken livers, giblets, necks and wing tips which I put out if she's hungry or being picky about her food. There's always extra food left out at +3 and +6 if she's eaten what's been put out, Or if I have to head out for a couple hours.

Her breakfast is fancy feast pate cans, and she had a couple Meat Mates treats (100% meat and organ treats) and some freeze dried liver to lure her out from under the bed and for her shots. Her dinner is a can of Ultimates Indulge. And the raw food is always available other than 2 hours before shots. I also put out a little bit of plain sardines every now and again. And I have the higher carb stuff if I need to bring her numbers up.

She did quite a dive at +6 in both cycles yesterday. When that happens again, can you get a test with the Accuchek to see if that number is right?

ETA: Just saw the PMPS +5. Still heading lower. When did she last eat?

Yes definitely I can do that. She's been eating little nibbles each time she wanders past her food area either side of the +5 and +6. Had some more of her leftover can around +5 (only a few crumbles of meat left now) some dried liver treats between +5 and +6, and she just ate a giblet.

OK. I am really curious about the +6. If she dips below 95-100, could you get a test with the Accu-check?

Can you change the title of you thread to remove " STALLING AMPS 8.3 (150) HELP?" so folks don't think you are still stalling for help. Thanks :-)

Updated +6 in. 3 points difference between the two (4.9 vs 7.9) (88 vs 142)
Not sure whether that means the sensor isn't reading properly at lower numbers or if it's just cause it's behind the accucheck number by 15-30min?

I saw the difference and I too am wondering what is the reason. I have no experience with the Libre.

Why do you say there is a 15-30 min lag? Even if there was, that's a large difference.

@tiffmaxee
@Bron and Sheba (GA)

Anyway, she's safe for the night and it's past midnight for you so we cam continue this tomorrow!
From your next thread, please post the numbers in the thread in US mg/dl rather than World mmol. That's the nomenclature most people are familiar with here. :-)

The libre measures interstitial fluid levels not blood glucose and has up to 20% variance so they say it's more to look at trends than exact figures and to do finger (ear for cat) pricks when you need to pinpoint exact figures. There's a lag between the blood reading and when it makes it to the interstitial fluid so it's always a little bit behind.
Ok no problem I'll remember to convert the figures for next time.
Thank you so much for staying with me til we got past midnight
