The mods can move posts for you. Ask and you shall receive. :)

A little follow on from yesterday on arthritis - I didn't end with all those treatments. Tried adding one at a time to see what worked and changed some things over time as it got worse. The three things I was working on was inflammation (fish oil and Duralactin), helping lubricate the joints (started with Cosequen, tried Hyaflex, moved to Cartrophen), and pain control. I forgot to mention buprenorphine on the list. A lot of acros go to either buprenorphine or gabapentin full time. The acupuncture vet showed me how to do the acupressure. Neko liked it - it was a little "us" time after her morning shot. The idea was that it would extend the effects of the acupuncture. Neko didn't get a lot of needles, vet used mostly acupuncture lasers, like a small pen.

I'd increase the L tomorrow, you can go 10-15%.

I wonder if that laser treatment that my vet offers might help his joints? Not that I'm looking to spend a bunch on it (since I have no idea how much this costs). There may be less expensive options.

He seems to have stayed pretty steady from +11 to PMPS so I really am thinking that I may have missed a few yellows from this afternoon. We'll see what this evening brings.

Hi Suzanne, I'm so glad you posted on Suzi and Chicamonkey's condo today - I've been worried about them...hope she can get the support of as many ACRO mama's as possible to encourage her to increase, not decrease the insulin.

I hope Darcy catches on soon and gets those numbers down.

You're doing a wonderful job taking care of him :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks. I've been a little worried about Suzi too. Hope she checks in soon.
