3/16 Mouzer: AMPS 378/+1 373/+4 315/PMPS 303/+2 284

I hope Mouzer slides down and surfs today.

Well, Thank You! But he is making me cry with these numbers today, after making me so joyful and full of hope yesterday.
I keep feeling like I am doing something wrong. I keep making sure the shot is going in. I feel and smell his fur after every shot. I do not see where I have done any fur shots. And last night's and this morning's shot, I must have hurt him a little because he gave a tiny yelp and that does not usually happen, so I guess I am trying too hard to make sure he gets the shot in. And today all being high, never going down after the am shot, I am trying to figure out is this still the bounce? Or is it that he is having a bad day? What am I doing wrong? On and on my mind is worrying me to no end :(

@Bandit's Mom

Mouzer's numbers stink today. He is just getting sick of being stuck in the ear again, upon the amps +4. Being as his numbers are high, do you reckon it is ok to not test any more for the day, until pmps?

Yeah. He is still bouncing from those blues yesterday :(
I think you can give him a break till PMPS.

You are doing nothing wrong. :bighug:

So a bounce can last a LONG time???? How do we know when a bounce ends? Only when the levels go down again?
Thank you for that hug. I have been feeling like poo all morning.
I did a +1 because I did a +2 yesterday and thought to get a +1 for today. I saw that poopy number and my heart sank.
I had hopes if I waited til +4, I would find a low number. But nope.
So, it aint me. It aint Mouzer. It is the darn diabetes! ggggrrrrrr

You're not doing anything wrong. Cats can bounce from dropping fast or getting into numbers they are not used to. Most cats eventually get into good numbers and stay there and quit bouncing, but there it no time limit on it. Try not to get so focused on the numbers to the exception of everything else. Remember Mouzer is more than his numbers. It is important to focus on how he is feeling overall. I learned to make test time with Furball a time when she gets loving before and after the test so she wouldn't hate it. Hang in there. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

A bounce can take as long as 6 cycles (3 days) to clear. And yes, you know it has cleared when you see numbers trending down. Flat high numbers are a bounce.

Bounces are indeed awful. Especially since they come on the back of some beautiful numbers. But as cats get used to lower numbers, the bouncing will reduce. Just hang in there. :-)

Thank you for explaining! I will try to pay attention on this with cycles and bounce.
So, are we sticking with ten cycles for this dose? Or will we have to raise it tomorrow?

We hold the dose for 10 cycles. Let's see where his numbers are after he clears this bounce and take a call on dosing.

OK! That sounds great to me! I was not caring for the thought of having to raise dose again. I sure hope he does better and it does not come to another dose increase, but of course, I will do what we must do, I am just holding hopes here. Thank You! And I will put my laptop away now, leave you alone and come back later this evening with pmps information.
OH Yes! Ten cycles starting with first time of 1.5 dose? Or from when had blue? Or?
