3/14 Minnie PMPS 253, +2 160, +3 191, +4.5 278

Minnie came back to the party! Got a 160 @+2 so looking for advice. Should I give her some of the 10% DM selects now, and how much?

I have a wide range of % on hand - 0, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20....

Thanks!

Yes, that's quite a drop from PS early in the cycle. DM Selects is canned right? Not dry or treats? If yes, a teaspoon of that should be good.

Minnie's last meal was at PMPS?

She inhaled that and came back to lick the pattern off the dish. She'd eat more if I gave it - or should/can I give her a bit of LC? Can I wait an hour to test, or 30min? I'd like to minimize unnecessary pokes if possible since I suspect there may be a lot of bloodletting later on.

asking my questions now while I'm alert LOL

191 @+1 hour after 1tsp 10%. :) 1tsp LC now and test in an hour? I have Tiki chicken in consomme which I think is close to 0%, or Weruva 3% or DM pate 5%

Don't think you need to feed her. Want to take a nap and test after 2 hours? What time is it where you are?
LOL she was hungry, I gave her 1tsp of the 0% tiki and she's sleeping again. Clocks went forward, it is only 11pm but feels like 10pm (early for me!).

I can do a +5 which will be 12:30 - she usually gets bedtime snack then anyway - and with any luck get a few hours sleep after that...if she wants to cooperate. Good that I don't have to test again in 15min, she's getting cranky. Still recovering from my pokes earlier in the week I guess - she definitely feels it.

Hmm...278 @+4.5. Now what??

And what do you think is going on here? Maybe I should have just given her 5% @+2 instead of the 10%?

As Bhooma said, it is all trial and error, on the 5th of March AM cycle i got so scared Chico would go too low i gave him a looooot of honey, instead of greens i saw a lot of blues until the honey left his system )))

Another thing that we were taught on the forum (by @Gill & George and @Bandit's Mom) is that there is a difference between an active cycle that is precedented by a bounce and an active cycle that is precedented by an active cycle. An active cycle that comes after a bounce is much more active and requires much more intervention than one that is precedented by an active cycle. It saved us a lot of nerves and interventions ))

Good luck with the learning curve :)
